Freshly opened bottle of OWA. Getting a vanilla and chocolate flavor on the finish, so good. Great flavor at 107, but no unnecessary burn or overpowering alcohol notes. It makes me feel a bit like one of "teh pappiez!!!" crowd how much I like BT's wheated bourbons (besides WSR), but damn are they good. The HH and MM wheaters are fine (good), but just don't do it for me like BT.

Joe is smiling I'm sure. I decided on a BT wheater tonight, too after a nice steak dinner and now some Blues hockey.

A healthy pour of ECBP C918 to help put a cap on this turd of a Monday. Then I figured I needed an actual night cap, so I went with a BT Single Barrel selection from the state. It has gotten better with some air.

Opened a bottle of WT 101.  This turns out to be a real easy drinker, but plenty of flavor.  Call me a fan.

Another huge day in the ring today, and I won all judges cards. They say you get the most done on Tuesday’s, and I can attest to to that, today.  Early knockdown of this Tuesday, and flurry at the end to finish strong.  10-8s from US AND Russian judges.  Lame ass Swiss judge had it a 10-10 draw, again. Hey Hansel!!!!  Wake the f+€$ up!!!  I’m feeling good.  Treating myself to a fat pour of Blanton’s.  Yum.  Nah, I don’t need no stool while I sip on this beauty.

Having a great pour of OFBB

i was asked today if I wanted the 4R 130th or the new OFBB and with out thinking about it I said OFBB. May sound weird but I’d rather OF, haven’t had a lot of faith in LE 4R’s lately.

Watching Game 1 of the World Series, enjoying some Wilderness Trail BIB (Barrel 14C31) that I picked up on my last trip to Louisville. It's pretty good stuff and is growing on me more each time I revisit the bottle.

Back at the KFC YUM Center for

ELTON-JOHN.jpg

and went to one of the bars right behind our seats and asked for a double of EC.  My new favorite bartender poured me a triple which I enjoyed while watching Sir Elton perform.  A stellar night all around.

I was just there yesterday for work.  Which bar did you go to?

The one in the terrace section, directly behind our seats, Section 210 (river end of the arena).

Reached way back in the cabinet for some Old Fitz 1849.  Bought this in 2012, and wasn't a big fan at the (guess that's why it is still 4/5 full after 6+ years!)  Not sure why, but tonight this is just delightful.  Soft and sweet, like vanilla ice cream with a dusting of cinnamon.  Perfect mid-week, non-thinking pour.  Happy Wednesday!

Hump day threw a haymaker at me early, but it missed and I went on to take the round.  Heck, even Swiss Miss gave me 10-9.  So watching a little World Series with a never misses Buffalo Trace.

Enjoying a glass of LS pick of Buffalo Trace after  good day at work, and a better run afterward. Loving the cooler weather.

Grabbed the OF 1920 out of the back of the liquor cabinet to see if my opinion has changed at all, I can confirm that I still don't like it. I decided I didn't want to dump it so I tried to think of something to blend in and decided on Beam Black 8yr since it always worked for me with a particularly unenjoyable batch of Noah's Mill. Waddayaknow this is a pretty nice blend.

^^^It was a great concert...I went with Miller Lite!

Yes it was a really good concert.  71 year old rocker went strong for over  2 1/2 hours.  Glad I got to see him before he stopped touring.  Could hardly believe it when he said he had been touring for 49 years.
