I only saw one bottle of the Ancient Age and there wasn't much info about it online, so it may not be a current release, but I did see EW12 at a few stores.  The AA was around $25 and the EW was around $35 or so.  Blantons red (according to online reviews it is a Japan only release with a minimum 8 year age statement) and Blantons black were pretty readily available, and I saw Four Roses super premium at a few places.  Would have liked to have brought back one of the Four Roses, but I ran out of room.  Also saw lots of Wild Turkey 8 year and 13 year if you are a Wild Turkey fan.  

Wow the EW 12yr 101 goes for $35 and you saw it at a few store, definitely interested. Also I’m a huge Wild Turkey guy, so 8yr and 13yr being available is also a nice plus.

Youre right. I’d seen those for sale and googled it. Found that it was supposedly just single barrel. Never actually saw the proof on it, though.

It's good, and better for that price. See if you can find some 1920.

Picked up another warehouse D RRSiB.

Looked for 1920, but they had it at a more normal price, like $55-56 or so.  Not sure why they had the 1897 so cheap??

I’ve had 2 bottles of a D pick another local store has that were good and priced reasonable but honestly is probably the least favorite RRSiB I have. Least favorite but still really good bourbon. 

 

The bottle I picked up yesterday is from the 5th floor. The price was dropped to $43.99 so it was go time. It’s good! Better than my other D. YMMV

They probably mispriced it.  $22 is about the price of the standard 100 proof "Signature".  1897 is usually about 2x that.

I bought mine at $50 here.. I’ve seen it 2 LS’s for $63 & $72! The one store had the 1920 priced at $83.. Simply RIDICULOUS.

Never had it, but I’ve found most of the OF line very approachable and have enjoyed everything I have recently tried. Includes 1910, 1920, Sig, SiB, Rye. $20 is a great price.

I’m hoping to purchase the 1920 the next time I’m traveling out of state.. I agree with your OF statement completely. I actually favor them to some others.. Looking to find it back of $50 if possible..

It’s always over $50 in my area. I’m sure it’s mispriced. You need to buy every bottle and use them for trading material.

Picked up MMCS, plus an irish, and a rye, while in KC.  MMCS for $37/750, I cannot turn down, even when the label falls off.

I spotted a couple of Kentucky Owl on my last trip but at ~$200 out the door... I balked and passed it up. After a little research, I’m curious to see if it’s from the new distillery or not.

Liquor Barn in Kentucky has a bar where you can take a pour of about everything they have available. My brother-in-law tried the Kentucky Owl and was not impressed. He said we can bo much better for less $$. Anyone here try it yet?
