I love the Old Fangled Knotter, but not at $99. Anyone know why they went from $79 to $99 with one bottling? At that price, I'll take the non-finished Joseph Magnus.

I think it was an increased price from the distillery due to the increased age.  I paid $73 for an 10 and 11 year and $90 for the 12 year bottles.

I was paying $79 for 9, 10, and 12. The latest 12 was $99. They all taste great, and I can't tell the difference between the 9 and 12, so...I think it's time for a side-by-side blind taste test! I have 1 9 yr, 1 10 yr, and 2 12 yrs. Not a lot left in the 9 yr, but enough, I think.

Passed on some Eagle Rare for $29.99 and Stagg Jr. for $49.99 (NOT because of the prices; but was holding out for harder to find stuff).

I have a bottle in front of me.

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.

Passed on KO, too much hype for me to risk it at that price20190122_155431.jpeg

If you're a rye fan, it's a fantastic pour. I passed on 2 bottles of KO rye for $150/ea. That's still a little expensive for a great, but not earth shaking, bottle of rye.

Passed on Eagle Rare for $28.XX. Just had a buddy pick me up a handle of ER in Michigan for $60 out the door.

What is retail..$2500? The first round of these that went to charities went for around $10k I think.

I couldn’t tell you.  I’ve never seen one in the wild I know that.

I asked him him if I could do 500 installments of $100 :D

He’d have been a wise man to take that deal ( 500 x $100 = $50,000 )...sorry...my inner math geek took over

Passed on a Heaven Hill 27 for an even $1000.

Shoot I passed on it for retail. Found out later that someone I know snagged it though. Didn’t know for a while.

Was cruising around Memphis yesterday and did some bourbon surfin' - passed on a lonely bottle of Blantons for $80, Stagg Jr for $70, and a few slightly dusty bottles of Old Ezra 101 for $33 each.   On the way back stopped at a LS in Sherwood I've occasionally stopped at a few times - Stagg JR for $100. Won't be stopping  back again.

Wow! I don’t think I could have passed on the ECBP at that price even though I already have too many bottles of it. I haven’t seen it that cheap in my area for several years. It’s mostly $69.99 or a bit higher when I see it, which when compared to a lot of the NDP 12 year old cask strength products, is still a bargain!

I agree.. it was $79 and $89 at neighboring stores... this place is one for me to remember. I dont go crazy over the ECBP or i wouldve jumped on it. Ive got two of the B517 in the bunker so I feel like Im ok. Found a boone county 12 for 10$ more.. i think that may be where my $ will go.

NJ seems to have gotten a shipment for ECBP B517. Two stores had it today for $55. I’m stocked up on ECBP, so I passed.

Killing some time after work and went in a place I’ve been in twice in twenty years.  They had a bottle of WT Decades at $199.99.  I told him I had picked up one about three weeks ago for $125.  He couldn’t care less.  Guess it might be another twenty years until I go back.

Saw a a customer select bottling of Highwest Double Rye Finished in Chardonnay cask for one year. It was a single barrel at 50% abv.

Anyone ever try a bottle like this with High West?
