It was a single barrel at 50% abv. Anyone ever try a bottle like this with High West? I have a bunch of finished Double Ryes, Pinot, Congac, Tequila, MWND, Bourbon Cask, and maybe a couple others all are interesting and some are fantastic. On the way back stopped at a LS in Sherwood I've occasionally stopped at a few times - Stagg JR for $100. Won't be stopping back again. lcpfratn and/or myself might be able to narrow the field down for you on your Memphis runs

Wss hoping 1792bib might have appeared like it had the same time last year, but alas, no joy. Also was a little disappointed in a place or two, seemed like some prices were getting a little inflated...

Bourserker
So far I've passed on going into a liquor store this year in order to try and work down the bunker. We'll see how long this lasts.
BDanner
1792 BIB. I did not care for the only bottle of 1792 I've had.
Double C's
Today I passed on Eagle Rare @ $49.99/bottle, Baby Saz @ $49.99/bottle, EHT SmB @ $79.99/bottle, and a wall full of other bourbons that I am sure were overpriced but I didn't care to ask any further. I asked if they ever get any OWA and they said when the next round of it comes in they are expecting to have it priced at either $79.99 or $89.99. As much as I want to stock up on OWA I am not paying that crazy of a price for it.
berto
Cream of Kentucky was briefly available. I love Jim but the mediocre reviews made the price too high especially given that I'm trying to buy fewer bottles.

But seriously, best of luck B. Biba! Joe

I talked to the manger today asked if they had any left, he said the barrel they got was gone inside the first hour after they announced in email at 10am that Saturday morning. I was just luck to have been there when they had it.

I did pretty good but ended up caving about 25th or so.

Just because something is a store pick doesn’t mean you have to lose your mind and spend a crazy amount
DeepCover
Yesterday I hit Party Source, but left empty-handed. Other than the New Riff selections I didn’t see anything much different than I can buy at home. As for New Riff, it’s decent but a couple years young IMO. I like what they’re doing over there though and can’t wait to see what the next few years bring. I also snapped a pic for good measure.
elmossle
I passed on some OWA107 today. My usual store got a new batch in today and wanted $52 a bottle!!! I told them no thanks and they completely understood why I was passing. Grabbed some WRS and ECBP instead. I like the Weller lineup just as much as the next guy. Probably a little less than Joe, but I hope they become shelf turds at that price. I fear this will not be the case and very happy I have lots of it in the bunker.

Even unbelievably unloaded a couple of my Store Picks to a friend who was trying to get a couple. I seem to have better luck with non PS OWA. When u get a good one their great but I wont be paying $52. Edited February 15, 2019 by FasterHorses

Sad thing is people are willing to pay $80 on secondary.
BMartin42
WSR. Local had it behind the counter. I’ve always had a good relationship with him but I may have literally laughed out loud when he said 39.99. Same place has Stagg Jr. for 49.99. I’m so confused with crazy prices these days.
georgemoe
I got my one and only bottle of OWA at my local packy Christmas of 2017 for $29. Still have about a quarter bottle. Tried to get some this past Christmas and no luck. But they did have a bottle of W12 for me but it was higher priced around $45. Yesterday I stop in to get a regular bottle of BT for the shelf and sitting top shelf is 6 bottles of OWA for $49. Almost grabbed one but then I decided to pass. I'm sure they will sell but like others I'm not happy with the price increase. I'm happy to sip on my WT101. Who knows though. I might cave and make a return trip. Marekv8
Four Roses 2018 130th and 2017 special releases at retail (in Manhattan of all places)-- imagining what they tasted like was good enough.
