Usually don't cocktail with j.Magnus, but put it with a splash of martini and rossi bitters 1872, simple syrup, chocolate bitters and a generous sqweeze of lime and really enjoyed it. When it was gone, washed the glass with ECBP A119. Good night...

Didn’t plan it per se, but got the evening going with a small pour of JDSiB select.  Found it apropos watching Vandy take down Michigan in the CWS tonight. Finishing with a generous pour of EWBIB however.

Posting here but after some research not sure if I am drinking bourbon or Kentucky whiskey. Having a small sample of ‘70’s era Early Times with thanks to a buddy. Having some vintage whiskey in my new vintage glass. Apparently domestic early times back then was aged in used barrels while export was aged in new so therefore a KSBW.
Very different. Burnt brown sugar up front, a little earthy and cough syrup mid palate, and a little mineral. Finish was cinnamon gum.

I can close my eyes and still see that picture-- a retinal imprint after so many Delta flights.

Omg, Rifleman probably my favorite.. Love the intro! Gunsmoke, too me, better with the Festus episodes vs the Chester ones..

It's Dickel I have no doubt, it tastes like some of the 9 year picks I've had, I like it very much.

I agree!

Haha the intro rocks to Rifleman. I also have a soft spot for Bonanza, It was one of my dads favorite shows, he was a big Micheal Landon fan. I’m actually visiting that area of Nevada in a few weeks and one of the motivations is the show.

I say, a pour from that bottle should be a high bar for just about anyone.

RRSiB PS. Last pour. Good bottle, not bunker worthy.

A 50/50 std. BT and a 129p Stagg jr. mingle. Made a batch to put away for a few weeks so they can get to know one another better. The profiles of each component are remarkably similar as the prior night featured a sbsbs.

If you can find Eagle Rare in your area, Stagg Jr pairs very well with it too
