Steve, I have that same problem being a giant asshole.  I'm so acutely aware of it in others that sometimes I "see what others do not".  ?

Geez Rich. Yes, you're kinda giant, but an asshole.........nah. You're as lovable as a big ol' teddy bear! :D

Supply Run. The 1.75L 4RYL went straight into the freezer. Out came 4 racks of ribs. Supposed to be a nice day.

Just cracked this RR10. My first taste ever! Haven’t had HMK since it went full tater but am opting for lower proofs as happy hours a bit earlier then normal.

Look on the back label. It should have a name there.

Cool. Most of us on here have a “thang” for Sarah. ?

Found in the VA abc store yesterday.  Looking forward to it.  I'm not a huge fan of regular Larceny, but I like most Heaven Hill products, and I am a big fan of Rebel Yell 10 Year.  Hopefully they'll figure this release out.

I think you already picked the right bottle regardless of the name on the back. SAOS seems to be more preferred here over the Contradiction.

But not a grammatician, I guess (as we ESL kids all are) - something about not ending a sentence with an adverb???   ?

Sorry, Steve - had too many drams of THH last night.   And helping out with home-schooling the grandbabies via Facetime is taking a heavy toll on an already feeble mind.    ?

Home schooling, much less via Facetime, qualifies you for as many drams as you need to survive the experience!

Today was a good day!!! The LS owner said that all his restaurants and bars are closed so The Wl12 (29$) and other hard to find bottles (for around here), are just being sold at the store.

There is an upside to this quarantine period, I guess.  More bottles help for "on-premise" sales are showing up at "essential" liquor stores.  Ask me how I know . . . . . . .   ?

Was shopping for Knob Creek Cask Strength Rye when I found this:

IMG_4380.thumb.jpg.4b437bf91725638cf9f5d6350419791d.jpg

It was the last one on the shelf.  I don't buy American whiskey like I used to so It's really nice to be surprised by something excellent.  Drinks beautifully and perfect for the gale warning.

Stay safe, all!

Geez FP, didn’t you know that Frank is the bourbon equivalent of Johnny Carson’s Carnac The Magificent?  He’s the omnipotent, all knowing, and all seeing one of brown spirits. It’s tough, but I’ve learned not to question him. Most times anyway. ?

I was told the same by my LS.  1L bottles are coming because they are still made, but now no bars/restaurants are getting them.

FWIW, once upon a time, many years ago.......

A bar and its new manger contacted me because they knew about my bourbon “passion”.  There were a number of liter bottles of JB Black and KC that he wanted to get rid of cause they just didn’t sell very well. Both were at a fairly nice discount price mind you. Who was I to say no?  I bought ‘em all. Five or six of each. As per what was and is mostly my norm, and FWIW, I finished some, shared some, and a couple went to “other” homes.

Broke down and bought the Belle Meade today. New in NC for $50. If I don't get back to work soon, I'll be broke not from lack of paycheck, but from free time to visit the ABC.

Drove out to the family cabin with my son for the weekend. Had a taste for turkey, so while in town grabbing groceries while we hunker down, I picked up this '13 WT101. Havent had a WT101 open since last summer (tho I have gone thru some excellent WTKS), & this one seems a tad fruitier. Looking forward to it opening up more!
