No, i think they only offer the entry level bourbons in each line. I have noticed they are 2-3 dollars over msrp which i am glad to pay.

BT has been doing this for as long as I can remember. Before the boom and stores that price gouged, they priced their gift shop bottles a few dollars over msrp so as not to compete with local liquor stores.

Picked up these 2 today. I bought a bottle of the WR Wheat at the distillery at Christmas and really liked it.  Cracked this one tonight and it is what I remember.  Very fruit forward. First nose is like a fresh crisp apple

Hadn't bought much of anything recently.  We were in, of all places, a Target looking for a particular coffee and we couldn't find it.  While looking for it I stumbled onto their rather meager spirits aisle.  It is also my birthday today and my wife kept asking me, "What do you want for your birthday?"  I really didn't need anything but when I saw these, for $37.99 I told her, "I just found my birthday present!"  Normally I would have left one but 1) You can't find it anymore, and; 2) If you do find it there's a limit of 1, and; 3) It was my birthday so . . . they both came home with me.

Wilderness Trail Family Reserve: 116pf- Aged 5yrs. Yeast Strain FermPro 1

 

OF Single Barrel 90pf- Warehouse H floor 5. I picked this up because it my first time having a store picked and normal OF has never disappointed me.

 

Highwest Double Rye 103.8pf- No age statement other than than finished 15 months in a “Syrah barrel”. This one just kinda sucked me in. I know most aren’t a huge fan of HW but their double rye has been pleasant for me.

There is a HWDR finished in syrah (I think) at the local TW here. The bottle was pretty and I dig the black label but wasn't really tempted. Word on the street is that it's terrible.

Well that check out. It’s not a funk but more of a sour. I can’t quite pick it out. Ever had a bad lime an about 5 seconds after the sour goes away you have the earthy (Maybe Syrah) rotten lime flavor? Yeah not a must have in my opinion.

A good day! My absolute favorite of the BT Mash #2 and a bottle that I have historically  had a difficult time finding.

I would love to find some Rock Hill Farms!  Haven't seen any in my neck of the woods for at least a couple of years.  My favorite BT product by far.

I've read here on the site that people generally have a low opinion of the HW own made whiskey, and it's a larger component of the batch, less and less of the good sourced barrels they used to get.

By the way, I see tons of HW products in stores nowadays, like never before.  It's not very interesting to me.

It's sort of the classic modern craft story.  Buy some nice barrels from a legacy distiller, then rush your own product to market, even if it's not good.

It seems that everything HW touches turns to crap.  Their regular bourbon (forgetting the name) is the only bourbon that ever made me gag.  Hideous.

catching up for a long week. Tues found a bottle of larceny barrel proof, B520. then 2 days later, EC barrel proof B520. then last night as a b-day gift for my son, a case of regular buffalo trace for $19.99 a bottle. I kept 2 bottles as a commission though.
