Jazzhead
I am willing to pay more to drink very good bourbon rather than good bourbon even though good bourbon is doggone good. That being established, the thrill of the hunt is to find very good bourbon that is great. It doesn't happen often, but often enough to justify the premium for paying for very good bourbon. If any of that makes sense. And I agree that the Little Book is very good but not great. Part of that is the value proposition -it shouldn't be priced more, I think, than Bookers. elmossle
Drained a bottle of CEHT Single Barrel this evening. Those are becoming harder and harder to find replacements for these days. At least this one was good until the very last drop!

I’d say the backbone is the Rebel 100 and ER. Very small amount of ECBP. Is that an EMPTY 1.75ml of Eagle Rare? If so, then kudos to you sir. Because that's not something we see every day.
mal00768
I really need some support for this one. This was by far one of my favorite bottles, I’ve been nursing it for the last 3 years. I hunted for another but couldn’t find one. At least I have the memories.

That one was panned fairly hard here, but I really dug it even though it was one and done; gone forever. This "off the beaten path" bourbon as I had described it was totally worthwhile. I dig it too and could hardly stay out of it after picking it up. I would love to have a back up if the price is right.

elmossle
Figured I would start off my vacation week with clearing some space in the cabinet with the bottles that were just holding on. So, the following bottles have now been sent packing: Makers Mark 101 FRSB OBSK L&K Pick RRSB Westport Whiskey & Wine Selection from 2017 ECBP C920 Four bottles out....Four bottles up from the basement!
Guss West
Made quick work of a 2019 PS 1792 BIB this week up at the cabin. Shout out to my man with the PS honey barrels: https://beveragedynamics.com/2021/06/06/greens-farms-whiskey-picks-connecticut/
0895
Bottle from a barrel I helped pick a few years ago. OBSV 100p. Funny story, I tasted this one first, declared it the winner and put my glass down. The others in the group laughed at me and kept tasting. Then they noticed I wasn’t tasting. I reiterated that #1 was the winner and I didn’t need to taste anything else. About 15 minutes later, everyone unanimously picked barrel #1. I was quite smug about it for the rest of the day. Probably still am to be honest!
dwightschrute
Finished these off last night, as they barely had any left. Both were very decent, given I’ve become sort of a snob lately but I like variety.
fosmith
Well, this didn't last very long. Solid and delicious from start to finish. Sweet caramel and Cinnabon on the nose and palate. Super QPR at $17
lemonman
Finished off a bottle of my Beam blend and followed up killing an exceptional bottle of BT. I hope the next one is as good!
Richdel
This bottle didn't last much longer than a week. It happens when the Mrs. enjoys it as much as I do. Good store selection. Not great, but very good!

fishnbowljoe
My low bottle retirement purge has begun. Bottles I’ve finished in the last few weeks are: a nice sized sample of 2019 GTS, a ETL, a ps 90 proof Old Forester SB, a Weller SR, a BT, a MM 101, and a handle of my 2021 Weller Blend. Sorry, no pics. Stay tuned. More to follow. Biba! Joe
