I heard from another forum it’s the EW 12 year goes for $129.

Love the EW12 as well.

Jelly of both of you! $129.99 on the EW 12 limit 2 and they had A LOT in stock. $349.99 on the 23 year and they had some earlier on the day we were there but sold out. We did try a pour of the 23yr at the bar for, gulp, $60 and it was very very good. The first 23 year I have had and this one was not at all over oaked and comes in at a really nice 107pf. I would have bought a bottle if available and dealt with the marital wrath later!

You are most correct - it is FANTASTIC liquid, we consider it a treat or special occasion pour in the household, or sometimes we drink it on the 23rd of the month. The most fairly available 23rd old bourbon that I have been able to get regular, and well worth the wrath!

Kepler
Score 'n pour. Picked up some JB Harvest Collection High Rye bottles this afternoon, and opened one tonight. It's a damn nice 11 yr expression of what I assume is the OGD mashbill at 90 proof.

Paddy
I did a good deed for a new neighbor. He rewarded me by pulling this out of a box in his garage and giving it to me. Turns out he works at Beam and had heard that I may be a guy that would appreciate this little jewel. 15 year old barrel proof Jim Beam, straight out of the QC Lab. Why yes, I would most certainly enjoy! Needless to say, it took me all of 5 minutes to crack it and pour a half ounce. All I can say is .... wow!

Richdel
Two brand new, to me, bottles opened this week. Blanton's and WTRB. Opened the Blanton's a few days back, initial impressions were good, bordering on very good. I am not sure I would seek it out, but if I walked in a store and it was on the shelf at a reasonable price (bought this at just under $60), I would buy another bottle. Got this one from Costco some time ago and thought it was time to open it up and see what all the fuss is about. Drinking to WTRB tonight, and I am very pleased with this bottle. I have to admit, if it were not for this forum and the Turkey enthusiasts, I would not have bought this expression of WT. I have been very happy with WT101 and now WTRB, I guess I will have to try RRSB or RR10Y next. I was able to score the bottle of WTRB for just under $50, and that makes it a real bargain for me as a sipping bourbon.

RT Fan
I have been running down my inventory of late, as for me bourbon and other brown liquors are more of a seasonal beverage, I just don’t pour a lot of whiskey in the summer. Last night I opened a bottle of Four Roses Small Batch I had been sitting on for a while. I hadn’t had one in a few years and being a fan of the 4R Single Barrel I thought I would give it a try again. First impression was how much less intense the flavor profile was compared to the Single Barrel. That is not a bad thing, you don’t always want a big bourbon. So this was just fine on the rocks before dinner. The other obvious trait was the lower proof of 90 versus 100. I was impressed with how much of a difference that 10 proof made beyond the blend etc. Verdict nice but given my druthers I will stay with the 4R Single Barrel. YMMV.
Jazzhead
I've had no Statesman on the bar for several months, and that was remedied this afternoon by a visit to Boulevard Super Liquors just across from Ocean City. Sunday afternoon and sunset are graced by the ocean breeze and this wonderful pour,.
