I was a bit surprised to run into more of these on a shelf for $19.99.  I've enjoyed these high rye before so I went ahead and grabbed these.

I just saw my error. I meant 'em, not 'me. Autocorrect 🙄

I'm sure everyone knew what  I meant though.

Cheers

I find it odd I don’t hear about the RR10 more often. With all the love Turkey gets around here (and well deserved), and the 10 year age statement, seems like it would be a hot item. I suppose the lower proof is a bit of knock against it for many.

Truth told, I’ve only ever had one bottle and it was pretty early in my bourbon journey so I don’t recall much about it, other than it didn’t blow me away. But I also wasn’t as big a fan of WT101 back then as I am now.  Guess I’m long overdue for a re-visit.

I haven't said anything about it recently but I've said a lot in the past. There are a number of us here who truly appreciate this one.

It’s been a few days since I’ve purchased anything. My son and I had to stop at the grocery store today. No, I didn’t get the itch. <_< However, I did end up buying two bottles of EW 86° for 99¢ each.:o Okay, so they were 50 mls. ;)

Anyway, I’m actually doing my son a favor. He’s in a type of baseball related league. (long story) One of his friends in the league likes bourbon. Among his likes are Weller 12. He’s never had Pappy 15. We bought the 50 mls so we could give his friend a sample of Pappy 15. 😁 Gotta pay it forward.

This was what my wife and I picked up today. BTW, found a new place... it's where the golf crowd was getting their booze today.

So before your comment, I had never heard of Ray Walker. What is the problem with him?

I read the article. I had seen some videos on YT also. I guess I should have researched more before spending so much on a brand I didn't know more about. I took the advice of the owner of the store. But the one thing it did was open his vault to me. He even asked for my name, number, and wish list. That was worth what I paid regardless.

Not to rain on your parade,

but the number of "lists" I have put my info on over the past 6-ish years VS. the number of times I have actually been contacted is a vastly different number.

Hopefully this works out better for you.

Picked up a couple 2-three more AA ‘cause my bottle was getting g low and I was figured I’d get a replacement or two (same goes fir the HH)... got the pints for bbqs or whatever events presents themselves where I will more than likely not finish a whole 750 at one time.

Bourbon Cream and R100 on sale for under$20

I enjoyed the last 2 bottles of Old Tub but I have passed on it ever since the price went north of $25. Finally found it for $21 so I picked it up as well.

SiB EC94 from a new local store, we’ll see how their palette stacks up lol...

SiB Benchmark (🤣😂🤣) there were several variations to choose from (top floor, small batch, and something else). This was at the top of the $ coming in at $22 ( more than double standard benchmark 🙄🥸🤣)

Stopped by a local store to checkout their Knob Creek, store pick bourbon;  I was a bit disappointed that it's only 9.5 yrs. old and is only sold in a bundle with their store pick, 115 proof Rye.  Luckily they had the Rye available for a tasting.

Bought this out of curiosity in an out of the way ABC while on the way to Charlotte. Same price as standard KC, but is “Specially Bottled for Longhorn Steakhouse” per the neck tag and the sticker at the bottom of the bottle claims “Featuring Rackhouse L”. The only info I can find on KC Longhorn Selections are for Single Barrels not the Small Batch and nothing special about Rackhouse L. Maybe has a little “mustier” oak quality than standard issue KC, but I haven’t compared yet. Anyone have any other information??

I've never seen a 100 proof KC bottled as a special pick?  Locally they had a KC120 single barrel in some stores that was also bottled for Longhorn Steakhouse which was apparently a really good single barrel.

Yeah...I can find all kinds of info on those picks and they sound great. Not just 100proof, but Small Batch instead of a Barrel Pick. Weird.

I bought an Old Darling 375 ml a plastic bottle.  Sorry, @PaulO.  That's all they had.  It is MGP's high corn (95%) recipe rumored to be 4 years old.  Gimmicky take on an old distillery.  Priced slightly more than a Big Mac and Fries.  Expectations low.  Expectations met.  Cookie mixer.

I was waiting on a pizza and the retailer just happens to have a store next to the pie shop.  I went in and came out with a small plastic bottle in a paper bag.  I paid cash.  Now, I feel dirty.

Well, I had to make a stop after work today. 🙄 Yes I did. After a short period of MM 46 being back at it’s normal price, it was on sale again. This time instead of $2.00 off, it was $3.00 off. 😁 I bought two @ $24.18 each. Sorry, it was a rough day at work, so no pics for now. It does appear that they were dipped by my gal. 😎

If I could get 46 for $25 it would be my everyday. It's $40 here, occasionally on sale for $36.

Sent my buddy and his dad some samples to celebrate the first San Diego Padres no-hitter in the team’s 8,206 game history.  The doll heads were my daughter’s touch.
