To celebrate the coming of Noon, a Leinenkugel’s Oktoberfest.  It’s going quick.  Will need to figure out pronto with what I’ll celebrate the coming of 12:15…🤪

Ogopogo Brewing. Cold IPA. 6.2%. With these cold IPAs I feel like a few years ago when I discovered the Hazy IPA. It’s all I want to drink. With Hazy’s some tasted saccharine and you could only have a couple. These appear to be quaffable which is trouble.

My buddy who hooked me up with the four Pliny's a while back still had some after they didn't get consumed at a party so I have four more!

Drinking one now as I watch the extended innings Mariners and Astros game. I'm a Reds fan but will support the team in my city when they need it.

Settling in out front on a glorious day with this Hofbrauhaus Festbier.  Very drinkable, and going nicely with this weather and Falcons on the radio.

I would love to try this. Leinenkugel was born in Meckenheim, which is just a stonethrow away from where I live. This looks good!

I'm back to calling this my favorite Oktoberfest.  Paulaner is a close second.  Perfect football beer.

Found a couple bottles from 2017 stashed away in the basement. No better time than a  cool Monday evening with some NY strips. (See the "what are you cooking on the smoker" thread)

The eyes say it all! It’s not often I drink a beer from Florida. Tripping Animals Brewing. Mexican lager. Pretty good.

For some reason, I haven’t seen this around until today.  Always a solid effort.  A touch drier than other US Oktoberfest releases IMO, which pairs well with today’s Sunny and 72 degrees.

I didn't know that Yuengling brewed an Oktoberfest beer.

Your description sounds like it would fit squarely in my wheelhouse.

Lazy day on the couch recovering from my second shingles vaccine yesterday so it's all about the college football and a Pliny The Elder. Still perhaps my favorite IPA despite all the hype.

Celebrating a rare Washington Whatevers win today.

This one has aged a couple years and is evolving beautifully.  It's a strong ale, (It weighs in at 15.5%), and the bourbon aging and rye finish really makes this one shine.   Heavy Seas  is a local brewery, (in the Baltimore metro area), that started out as Clipper City,  hence the  glass.20221023_202356.thumb.jpg.2902c37f4b53627222b0a93db260c82a.jpg

I love me a good Porter.  Deschutes Black Butte Porter is my Gold Standard, but there are a number of other very good ones.  This Highland Oatmeal Porter is in that top tier grouping.  Perfect on a cool lightly overcast day, and a full day of college football on tap on the radio. 🙂

Working through the beer drawer. Great Notion out of Portland. I lived in PDX in 2012 and it was one of the best years of my life. The beer drinking there was part of that. I recommend this beer in the strongest possible terms. Double Dry Hop Hop Dry Double Hazy.

I missed out on Samuel Adams Oktoberfest this year because TW messed up and had the pumpkin ale listed under the Oktoberfest sku so it was with great surprise that at our weekly office function that I saw a single solitary SA Oktoberfest bottle which I quickly snapped up and boy did I enjoy that.

Switching seasons, I had my first holiday beer of the year - the Deschutes Jubleale - my traditional first of the year. It's a bit early but hey, it came out early this year.

Oh man........haven't had one of those in years but it was an absolute favorite back in the late 80's and 90's.

It's always a winner! We have some German bars here in the UK that now serve it unfiltered on draft from tanks and it is so good.

I like the novelty that I can smell and taste the chocolate in this, but it’s just not my thing.  At least it’s not overly and sickeningly sweet like I expected.  Still, a couple of ounces is about all I can do.

This looks nice, though! What looks nicer is the WT glass! Where did you get that?
