Tacos and cervezas with @PhantomLamb tonight led to a hearty pour of this bad boy. My first nip of WLW, or any BTAC for that matter. The generosity of friends and the SB family never ceases to amaze me.

And yes, the WLW was fantastic. Thanks again, Dylan. You’re a keeper.

Congrats @Rhettro, and way to go @PhantomLamb. 👍 @B.B. Babington speaks the truth. Welcome to Weller whoredom. 😁

Have you tried the FRSmB Select yet @yobber76?

Biba! Joe

Yes and it’s very nice

I like all the 4R blends and I think the Select is excellent

But for the price difference I think the standard SmB wins as a daily drinker

I buy a bottle and a few days later it seems to be gone

Having a sip of EH Taylor in Nashville.  Never tried it before. Similar to my Weller debut a few weeks ago....I can see why people like it.

Sweet & smooth, which I like.  Lots of vanilla.  And something I cannot quite name (but like) on the roof of my mouth at the end.

Is it the Small Batch I presume?  CEHT is one of my favorites.

Like you, I also pick up an exceptional tasting note that is unique to EHT (or the better Buffalo Trace private barrel picks sometimes have it as well).

Enjoy.

Small Batch.

I liked the second serving as well, perhaps more.  Though I hear tell that the first one influences the second one regardless of the brand.  And so on....

I was eating all the while and that surely influenced things.  Felt a wee bit of bitterness below & to the sides of the tongue.  But given the sweetness & smoothness, it was not out of place.  Started straight (and straight is doable with this one) and then added just a small bit of ice in it.  Very little dilution, a touch of cooling.  And still that aftertaste I cannot quite describe.

Dunno.  Except that I liked it quite a lot.

<sigh>.  You People.  Corrupters of the Innocent.

And I did indeed enjoy.  This is good fun.

finishing off a Mckenna 10.

The last 1/4 of my last bottle of this, and I haven't had any in a couple years.

This barrel from May 2009 is very nice.

I'll buy again someday when I see it priced fairly.

My favorite freezer bourbon.   I really like this much better than 4Ryl for this.  And, it's way cheaper too.

I’ll have to give this one a try this summer.

Not the best barrel, but after a long day it really hit the spot last night.

I’m in need of my periodic palate adjustment.  So, picked up the adjuster, Dickel 12.  Sipping now, and it’s minerally-vitaminy goodness is cleaning things out quite nicely.  😋

On its own, I really like Dickel 12.  But, when I need to readjust my palate, it’s like crack…🤪

That looks good, think I'll follow your lead as soon as I finish this EC94 store pick.
