Maybe you should clarify what you mean by corrupting an employee. I only see one glass and one bottle.

I work here too! He's in the other room. Safer for all. No soup for him today. To paraphrase Jack Nicholson to Tom Cruise " You can't handle the proof!".

smokinjoe
A glorious pour OGD 114 is hitting on all cylinders as an end-of-the-day pour.

Upping the ante with a stiff pour of GW4G tonite after a LOOOONG day being a Precinct Warden for two (2) precincts in a local Town election. Select Board (no longer "Board of Selectmen"), Town Meeting members, and other local posts. Gotta' love New England - the last bastion of true citizen participation in government.

Some Rocky Horror Picture Show Action too. No, not that! Just the time warp. Because it stayed 4 o'clock for a while!
Anwalt
Darker than a Trump/Biden lawyer's heart. Just look at that color. I have been "meh" with Peerless bourbons and ryes, event the recent OHLQ store picks. They have flavor, but not enough to cover for what strikes me as "hot & young". But this. Oh, this. It is really, really good. So, so much flavor. Store pick. Worth every last little nickel.

Obree
Thanks to some very generous folks (Anwalt and Joe) I received something I would never have been able to find in Europe. An incredible NuLu double oaked single barrel! We managed to exchange it in a very nice weekend in Paris (that deserves another post) and I decided to open it tonight. Really nice, highly appreciated guys!

StarSurfer55
I have seen Peerless in my liquor store but the reviews and friends that have a bottle have been uneven so I never jumped in. So should I invest in a bottle or continue to pass.

So should I invest in a bottle or continue to pass. If a local bar or friend has a bottle perhaps you can arrange or exchange a pour? Only you will know if it’s good to you. I did a tour/tasting last year which was my first experience with them. I was always put off with their pricing and youth. More recently they are at least 4 yrs old ( mostly from what I’ve seen) and the prices have moderated or the market caught up? I enjoyed the tour and wanted to like it more but found it meh on both the bourbon, rye and “ special” distillery only samples we had. Maybe in a few more years but to my taste it is in the pass category. Anwalt sounds like he came across a honey barrel but I had no such luck though I was hoping I would.
kcgumbohead
Last night I had a pour of my JD 107p 6yr old 50/50 whiskey/rye “twins” Tennessee tasters bottle I picked up at the distillery. Brings me back to my yout as I get a nice candy corn note out of it. Glad I picked this one up.
