Cut the grass and planted 6 bougainvillea plants by the pool.  Sitting down to a pour of WSR to joy the evening.

I think you do yard work as a reason to drink bourbon.  Can't fault that logic.

I had to tackle my yard while my wife was on safari in Africa last week.  Not saying my yard was neglected, but here's my yard next to a picture she sent from the Serengeti.

I'd love to buy you a drink sometime when you are at LAX.  Very close to me.  Or if that doesn't work out, I will buy you one in Seattle next time I fly up to visit my son in Cap Hill.

Mrs. jvd99 says I can’t proposition people I’ve met online for a drink…not that I don’t trust you guys IRLB)

Some friends just moved to La Grange Park.  If I get out to visit them, I will have to seek an exemption to that rule!

You in southern Indiana?  I may be FORCED to get back to Louisville before too long, and would absolutely buy you a drink ($10 max for cheap bastards lol!)

Had our bourbon club get together tonight. Jack Daniels what is the theme…

The JD Rye stole the show tonight.

Day 1 of our sister and brother in laws neighborhood garage sale went pretty well.  So well in fact, that when my wife got home, she  started bringing more stuff up from the basement to get rid of. Been going through boxes of book, vhs tapes, dvds, and cd’s. 🙄 2023 Weller Blend in the glass .🥃

Found a local bar with a healthy stock of WSR, OWA, and W12W12 was $14/2oz pour.  Might just end up being a regular there.

I’m making sure our cd’s are all downloaded to my computer. If cd isn’t downloaded, download it and move on to the next one. Give wife downloaded cd to put a price tag on. Rinse, wash, repeat many many times. Since I started a rung or three up the Weller ladder…. 2007 WLW in the glass now.  🫠

I finally bought a bottle of JB SiB. The low price and 108 proof has always intrigued me but I never bit till today. My first impression wasn’t great. It’s a tad hot and then it’s over. I was hoping it would be close to what the Distiller’s Cut was but it didn’t measure up based on my memory of those.

With the bottles of this I've bought, 1 was exceptional, 2 were good, and 1 was as you describe above. Def not as consistent as the DC obviously, but if you can find a good barrel, it's pretty tasty.

Recently found 2 of the old SiB's at 95 proof. When I get my hands on the new one (108 proof) I will see if I can compare the 2.

I have been pressure washing for the past two days, with one to go.  I have the driveway and walkways done, Tomorrow is the pool deck.  I’ve been hydrating with tall glasses of MM and Ale 8.  Quite refreshing! 🫠

Ahhhh.  Ale-8-One!  Been a while for me, but enjoyed it many times in a highball.
Hot here today, and also spent the day choring outside.  Estrella Jalisco beer gave way to tall glasses of Lemonade and Milagro Reposado tequila, and now to the whiskey.  1792 Full Proof on a big clear cube with some burgers on the grill, and Hasselback  Potatoes in the oven….
