What Bourbon Are You Drinking Winter '08/'09

I'm still working on my first bottle of Old Charter 12 year Classic 90. A bourbon I've had in my bunker for almost a year but just recently got around to opening. This particular bottle has a faux tax strip and indicates the bottling in Louisville. So my question is, when did Old Charter Classic come on to market? I know BT just dropped this expression within the last year or so which is a shame.....this is one good whiskey.

There was some OFBB '08 (can't say I like the new bottle shape much), Handy 08, Old Grand Dad '76, Weller 107, Woodstone Creek and Black Maple Hill 23yo...I think that about covers it.

Weller 12 BR01 SB.....when I want chocolate cherries in the nose and finish. Slightly dry, but love those chocolate cherries.

Today was the day to stay out of DC....so instead, I was home watching from the comfort my chair and warm fire. Added to that, some Ale-8-one and EW 1783 and have now moved to '07 Saz 18.

I'm coming to the end of my bottle of WT Rye 101. I like it ALOT, again. The bottle just zips by. I bought a small bottle of WT 101 to compare the two. I'm not very analytical, but I would say the WT was sweeter and the rye was fuller. Both are great but I think I prefer the rye.

The nose is like caramelized apples and taste like caramelized leather.

The bad part is that I only got a 50ml of it.

Glad to know the '96 holds up. I tend to get crazy with the music...but if I don't share the stuff I like, then I'll only have myself to talk to about it. I am always willing to share my record collection...always.

Getting a lot of the BT "mustiness" from this bottle, but I dig it. Reminds me of the smell of the BT rickhouse when I was there two years ago. Yeah.

Rummaging through my open bottles, I decided to kill off my Pappy 15 since I've been nursing that bottle for some time.

Jim Beam Black. Quite nice. There are only five or six different bourbons available in this province, so today my choice was between Bulleit and JB Black. To my recollection the Beam is the more robust of the two. Delicious.
