shoshani
In keeping with Virus_Of_Life's observation that winter has begun (and as a Chicago resident who took three times as long to get home from work last night due to a heavy snowstorm plus winds plus 15 MPH drivers minus plows minus sand minus road salt, I am convinced), Here's a new "What Bourbon Did You Purchase Today?" thread for Old Man Winter.I warmed up with Weller Antique. Very worthy pour; noticeably different from ORVW 10/107 - not as much depth or richness as ORVW has - but quite stellar on its own. We're very fortunate to have quite excellent whiskey available to us at very reasonable prices. This one is $18.99 at Binny's.

It was the only one on the shelf and what was I to do? I couldn't just leave it there all by itself. Would you?Jim

chilidawg7
One of Santa's elves stopped by my house early this year. He came in the form of a UPS man. Straight from Santa himself in Ohio, I received a 3 bottle case of the 08 edition of George T Stagg. This coincides perfectly with the beginning of my winter break. Life is good. fishnbowljoe
Stopped by a store on the way home from my wife's Christmas party. Picked up a bottle of Weller Antique for the bunker. Also, since I had a 1990's and a 1970's version of Benchmark, I picked up a bottle of McAfee's Benchmark too. Joe
