I stumbled across a bottle of 2007 William Larue Weller yesterday.

At Whitehouse Liquors in Rochester, NY.

They have a good selection and great prices.

Pappy20yo at $89.99.

They still have some Four Roses 120th on the shelf.

The Larue was $59.99 and they have some '08's.

I just bought the last bottle of the W.L. Weller Centennial 10yrs (Heritage Collection) and (1) bottle of Pure Kentucky Small Batch XO bourbon. Haven't tried either one but I am sure the Weller will be good based on the great reviews evryone posted on SB.

This weekend, I picked up a bottle of OF Bonded (dimple side). I was super excited to get it! I guess I can consider this my first dusty find.....even though I was not the one that found it.....but I did buy it. BTW, it is very good!

I was back in the area today finishing up the job that I was there for last week, so I stopped by and picked up more of the dusty OC BIB 200ml bottles, and I also snagged a 1.75L bottle of 8yo OGD 86 dated 1990.

Chili, I hope you enjoy the Ezra. Although, some don't care for it, I have really enjoyed that one. It's cheap. It's hard to find. But, I think it's really tasty.

I absolutely agree. Dollar for dollar, that's my favorite bourbon.

My recent favorite purchases have been some of the good ol' Four Roses Single Barrel (a delicious bourbon, not to be confused with the 'Small Batch' or ...), a regrettable 16yr Hirsch (price and taste) and on the rye front, the Bitter Truth's 24yr Rye.

Then, there's the Japanese whisky - but that's for another forum.

WTAS from an American E-bay seller that already have a bottle in custardy for me. Now he can ship as the shipping fee for 2 bottles is on a more reasonable level.

Just picked up a bottle of Pure Kentucky XO. I tried it and loved it so I went out and bought the remaining two bottles. Very tasty.

Just got a 750ml bottle of Wild Turkey 86.8 proof.

Old brown label with a tax stamp, could be from '79.

It's been awhile since I've bought anything. Picked up the 2008 Eagle Rare 17 yr old BTAC at Binny's.

My wife is far too supportive of my expanding bourbon drinking / accumulating hobby. There was a sale at Binny's last Saturday and i was planning on picking up a few different bottles of things I didn't have such as Rittenhouse BIB (my first rye which didn't seem that different from bourbon), Old Fitz BIB and the big splurge was going to be the ER SB in the giant bottle. Ended up with 11 bottles including two OFBB's, Rowan's Creek, ETL and EWSB.

The next day I bought a case of PVW 15 to drink/bunker. Good thing you can't return liquor.

Weller Centennial courtesy of Callemox the conjurer.

I'm gonna slap these in the bunker and see how long I can hold off.

I was very bad...stopped at my local Binny's..it is a smaller store..to pick up some Irish stuff for St. Patrick's Day...any excuse...and went a little overboard:

Two inexpensive bottles of sale wine.

Beer...Guinness and O'Hara's stouts

Clontarf Reserve.....never had it.

Tullamore Dew 12 yr old....never had it.

Gift pack Old Forester Signature with two glasses.

PVW Lot B...it was $44...not cheap but it called out.

Many, many more choices I had to leave for another day.

Like cigars, bourbon and single malts are highly personal. I just discovered the Aberlour a’bunadh recently. Apparently a’bunadh, translated from the Celtic, means “original,” a reference to it not being chill-filtered, a modern process that prevents the whisky from clouding when ice or water is added. Whether the chill-filtering process also removes richness and taste is a matter for debate.

I was delighted with my bottle, batch #9. I heated a brandy snifter and poured a healthy six ounces to enjoy with an afternoon cigar, and the a’bunadh had me blissfully buoyant in no time. By far the best discovery I’ve made in a single malt in quite some time. I highly recommend it.

Found a dusty of 1L Old Fitz 80 proof (UPC 88076).. It actually surpised me how enjoyable it was. It has proven well as a starter for the night before I switch over to some higher proof stuff.

Also I couldn't resist adding 1 more bottle of T.H.H to the bunker... could have gone with Saz 18.. but that T.H.H is so hard to pass up.

Also tried a bottle of Rum for the heck of it. Ron Zacapa 23.. was very impressed.

Getting itchy to spend some bonus $$ this weekend...
