Hondo
These were three barrels done as a private bottling for a local group of bourbon aficionados. You will not see these particular barrels for sale in DC.Tim, Does this mean these are not on retail shelves anywhere? Not even in Kentucky?Three barrels... that would yield about 700 bottles wouldn't it?

ggilbertva
Do you know if any of this will make it to DC? I got a few bottles of the 7 yr from Toddy's and really liked it. I was told the owner of the two "Bourbon" bar/restaurants has some interest in Willett's and manages to get it distributed to select  DC stores. I'm interested in the 18 yr if the price isn't too high. The Willett bottles found in DC are done by Jake Parrott with the last release around October of last year. Hondo
I stopped to check out a store that I hadn't been in before, but I really didn't need anything. For some reason I have a difficult time just checking out the bourbon without taking some home with me. I'm gona have to work on that... Picked up a WL Weller Special Reserve and a Old Fitz BIB.
fishnbowljoe
Went to visit a friend in Milwaukee today. Stopped at a few places to see what I could find. A couple were recommended by a fellow SB member. There were a couple of nice stores with great selections and decent, if not odd prices. No dusties but a couple of good deals. Picked up a bottle of ER 10/90 and three OF Repeal Sets from one place. All on sale. My big score came while on the way back home. I stopped at the place I left a bunch of stuff last week. Upon further examination, I found a couple more interesting items. I spotted an older 1.75 of OGD BIB. It is still there. I also spotted three older 1.75's of Old Forester BIB. One of these is now in my possession. I also bought a BHC VSOF, a WTKS Pewter top, and the three Weller Centennials I left behind last week. I am a bit poorer, but also a bit happier. Cheers! Joe PS. To top it off, an ER 101 bar mirror that I bought on ebay, was waiting for me when I got home.

smokinjoe
This week, I picked up a case of McScrooge's Single Barrel bottling of OWA 107. It's awesome juice. This bottling has become my Centennial replacement. Also, a Pappy 15. Maker's 'Rock the Vote' bottle. And, the Virginia ABC store had the Bernheim at $29. I've wanted to get another of these since I finished my last one, but have balked at the $40 price tag. $29 is much more acceptable.

DeanSheen
I'm not overly impressed with the Bernheim but like it enough that I agree with your sentiment. At 29 it would be a nice change of pace whiskey, at 40+ I'm not nearly as interested. This week, I picked up a case of McScrooge's Single Barrel bottling of OWA 107. It's awesome juice. Particularly, when getting a baseline on wheat(ers). But, I just haven't been jacked enough to drop $40 on it, again. I was glad to see the $29. So, I jumped.
