OscarV
Corner Creek which tasted woody and astringent to us all.

Yeah, that stuff is nasty. It's said to be a four grain and technically it is.It's a mix of a ryed bourbon and a wheated bourbon hence four grains. jburlowski
EC18, PS selection. Has the familiar dry EC 18 finish but with less wood than the standard issue.
T Comp
Parts of the day I was thinking/dreaming of having some 83 SW Rebel Yell tonight but somehow ended up with pours of High West Rendezvous and now some 07 Birthday Bourbon. To me these are both outstanding and great examples of some newer whiskies being in the same league as some of my revered dusties.
fishnbowljoe
Bowling night last night. Weller SR, Weller 12, Four Roses 100th Anniversary, and Pappy 20. Somehow we're in first place in our league. We bowled a good team last night. They are good guys that we get along with, and sometimes we share our bourbon with them. (The FR 100th and Pappy 20 we didn't share. ) We came, we saw, we kicked their asses. Gary came over for a little nightcap afterwards and we had some WT RR 101, and 81 Old Forester BIB. Thank you sir may I have another? To The Heads! Joe
ggilbertva
Enjoyed a pour of an '84 Old Overholt. At 86 pf it's got a good amount of flavor and finish. One of my favorite older rye whiskies.
M14Shooter
ORVW 10 107 It tasted like sticky toffee pudding with extra caramel.A lot better than the last bottle I bought which tasted like cough medicine.Mike

Whiskey Willie
I've been bouncing back and forth between Buffalo Trace and Weller Special Reserve...Good pours for the price.
smokinjoe
I'm starting the weekend off with a pour from an Old Crow "Penguin" decanter. 7 yr and 86 proof, it's one of the darker bourbons that I have ever seen. 35+ years in the ceramic has done no harm to this beautiful whiskey, and after decanting, I have discovered remarkably little evaporation. Wonderful, wonderful, whiskey.
bourbon-n00b
Finishing up a months-open bottle of Old Ezra 101, which has gotten much better since the first pour. Next up is Elijah Craig 12. Haven't had the oft-discussed off-bottle...here's hoping that this isn't my first!
DeanSheen
2010 GTS after dinner. I like this better than the 2009 WLW that has been open the past 6 weeks or so right beside it.
hectic1
I had some VOB BIB for the first time tonight and while it's a good "value" pour it's not something that I'd most likely pour on a regular basis. I followed that up with a pour of NOLA ER101...man that is a great pour. I really wish they still made that bourbon! I could be happy with ER101 and RR101 for the rest of my days if they were the only two available.
Parkersback
I'm enjoying some Jack Daniels Single Barrel, courtesy of board member Silverfish, who has his own personal barrel. This is good stuff. I don't drink enough regular JD to compare it, but I'm liking this whiskey. The first couple pours I had I got fruit and some nice sweetness. Tonight the fruit and sweet is still there a bit, but now also there's a lot of creamy vanilla, and a good long finish.
hectic1
Decided to have one more pour before heading to bed...I grabbed a FR Mariage 09! I'm really glad that I bunkered some of these when I had the change...this pour never disappoints me!

smokinjoe
OK, just finished up spending most of the day getting most of the outside Christmas decorations up. Just one tree to hang lights on tomorrow (the big colored ones from the old days, BTW). Littlesmokinjoe is at one of her friend's Birthday party sleepovers, and Mrssmokinjoe is at her company's Client Holiday Party. So, it's just gonna be me, the dog, a big ol fire in the outdoor fireplace, a CAO La Traviata, and a healthy pour of Weller Centennial. Drop-ins are welcome.Cheers!
