A 375ml of Olf Fitz BIB 1993, a half pint Barclay's BIB 1972, and a liter of Weller 12.

   ...and that's the way it is. All good. All gone. But not all forgotten. Cheers to you Dog. :toast: Joe

I finished a bottle of Basil Haden and a RR Rye. I also had a bottle of JB white label that got poured into a Bourbon Barrel Porter that I brewed this weekend.

Recent additions to my "out of the blue and into the black" bottles include PHC wheater (124.2 proof), WLW '06 and FRSB (standard bottling). About ready to join them are a RR 101 and '09 Stagg.

Just polished off a bottle of Bulleit Rye. I genuinely like this stuff, LDI did a nice job. My girlfriend loves it, so I better buy a new one before she notices it's gone. I saw a place that had it for $20, that's certainly better than the $27 I seem to see it for most places.

I finished off a bottle of PHC 2010 this weekend. I really nursed this one over the past few months, not wanting it to end. I'm glad I have a few more in the bunker but it will be a while before I open another one.

Well done, Thad! Killing off some very good bottles!

Starting to make plenty of room on my "open" shelf. In the last week or so, I finished a HH BIB gold label, Pappy 15, WT8 export, and my Ezra Brooks Wildlife Decanter. I'm now down to 12 open bottles. Joe

I've finished a few bottles off this month - a Nelson County, Makers Mark and Wild Turkey American Honey....

Just said goodbye to a bottle of 2010 Stagg. I don't really measure the amount of water that I pour into a slug of Stagg, but when I got the dilution just right, I swear I could taste marshmallows in this whiskey. It was really nice stuff.

Killed a WTRR 101 tonight...I open a bottle of WT every Thanksgiving and this was the bottle that I opened last year. I need to figure out what I'm going to open this year...I'm thinking a WTKS Pewter will be the target! :)

Put a bottle of '10 GTS out of its glory and on the endangered species list. I am down to 1 bottle left of the 10.

  • 2 weeks later...

Last night a bottle of Old Forester 100 proof gave up its last juice. Good thing I have two more!

Last night a bottle of Abraham Bowman Rye gave up it's last pours. I have two more on the way. I like this rye.

My Four Roses Small Batch bit the dust tonight. Really like this bourbon, not quite as much as the single barrel, but still very good.

Colonel E.H. Taylor BiB Sour Mash, first release died tonight. Don't worry though, I need no consoling over this one being gone; it was kind of disappointing.

Four Roses Single Barrel. Did not really like it until the last couple of pours.

Why is it that so many bourbons taste their very best at the bottom of the bottle?

Oxidation and barrel bits for non filtered products.

I was eyeing a Handy from last release that hand been standing still for quite a while the other day. Lotsa little bits a char and other barrel goodness.
