Enoch
Stopped at another small town liquor store and bought several bottles each of OF bonded, 90 proof Rebel Yell, Dickel No 12 with the label painted on the bottle, and a one gallon bottle of Four Roses Blended WHiskey. They all had tax strips and appeared to be from the 70's because they were english quantities. I don't think you can sell gallons anymore but I decided not to mention it. Probably crappy whiskey but a neat bottle.
T Comp
Luckily the Costco's here try to carry some relatively decent bourbon. I've picked up several VW and BT releases from the Costcos here as well. You know your in bourbon drinking country when you have that kind of choice. Only limited Beam products at ours. There was once some Woodford's Reserve that sat for about two years before being pulled. It was quite incredible though how quickly, even up here, they went through loads of that Kirkland labelled Beam crap, though I never had it, so yes I'm being purposefully and presumptuously judgmental. mosugoji64
Boxed bottle of OGD 114. I'm not very familiar with the OGD line, so I thought I'd start at the top!

Ian S. mosugoji64
That's a great one to start with! After trying it, I agree! OGD 114 is a great value. The higher proof allows more oak to show through, but it remains balanced. A good pour, and one that I think I will revisit once this bottle is empty! unclebunk
Stumbled upon a liquour store quite far from my home and bought my friend a bottle of Rare Breed. As I had many other things in the cart, I wasn't paying much attention when my stuff was rung up, only to discover when I got home that the clerk rang up the RB at $21! Sure wish I had purchased two!

unclebunk
Broke down and bought a bottle of Mellow Corn just to see what it's like. Wasn't sure it was even worth the $14 I paid for it but after reading a few positive remarks here on SB I thought I'd wing it out of curiousity. It's actually not bad at all and somewhat fuller in flavor than I had even expected.
