BFerguson
Weller 12yr tonight. Shockingly good from a freshly opened bottle. Usually need a good couple of weeks to work up to the level that it is at now. But I'm not complaining. B

fishnbowljoe
After a long, hot, but for the most part decent day at work, I'm sipping on some 07 ER17 given to me by "The Voshole". Not bad. Not bad at all. :yum:
Phil T
Cracked a bottle of the TPS JJB barrel 45 a week ago. Having a pour right now, neat of course. Smokey, woody, and sweet. I'm digging it.This must be Abraham's little brother at only 100 proof, but that's ok, since 100-110 proof seems to be my sweet spot. Gillman
4RSB LE 2012, this is OESK 12 years. Quite honestly, decent but I can't see what is much different from the regular 4RSB which comes about $30.00 cheaper. Next time, I'll buy regular 4RSB and a bottle of ETL for my $75.00.Gary
sutton
KCSB, Loch&Key selection w/ a good splash of water - probably drinking around 90 pf - even so, still a very concentrated, sweet pour.

DaveOfAtl
Doing a side-by-side with Weller 12 and Lot B for the first time. I have only recently been able to get the Weller 12, which just hit Georgia recently. Until tonight, I was starting to think there was very little difference between the two when drinking the Weller 12 by itself. Now, tasting them side by side, there is definitely a lot of similarity, but the Weller 12 has a lot more oak and the Lot B has a ton more caramel/butterscotch. I guess this just shows how much barrel selection matters ... And how useful a side-by-side is.
AaronWF
Trying to use EC12 to sooth acid reflux. It thus far is proving ineffective.Try mixing it with Pepto for a whiskey shit. Yup, just writing that makes me cringe.I had a pour of Michter's 10yo 1B bourbon. Some nice notes, but they're far away in the background, unfortunately. The wood is tamed until it stops short the finish in its tracks.

soonami
I too had some Vintage 17. After drinking beers all night at a Homebrew Club meeting it was nice to have something that I didn't have to think and comment on but just enjoy. I also had a pour of Elijah Craig 12 that has been open for about 6 months. The nose is still hot it's still burns a little bit going down, but the after taste is very creamy and warm.
