Tried Eagle Rare SB for the first time. It was wonderful. Local store had 1.75L for $39.99.

Bought a house yesterday, and attempted to move into it during one of the worst storms/floods in recent NOLA history. Passed out in bed still holding the last sip of my celebratory glass of Pappy 20. Luckily my fiancee was able to rescue it and finish it off before I made a mess.

A big, meaty, bone-in ribeye, deserves a big meaty bourbon ..WTRB. It never fails to satisfy

My wife's family is in from out of town, so we're getting ready for a second night of board games with a pregame TH Handy. Last night the BIL and I ripped through several iterations of the SB Blend, along with a delicious ETL, KC, Bowman's, WT12, et al, while trying to stay focused on beating the girls in team play. A few of the best games of "Pit" we've had in years. Killed 'em in Pictionary, while they killed us in Taboo. Grudge match tonight.

MM46, V17, and JPS18 and not a one of them hitting my sweet spot tonight. With two out of the three this comes as a surprise. I'd never had the 46 before and it was about what I expected, at any rate.

Alternated between 101 and Bulleit tonight while removing a small sum of money from the coffers of the Indiana Gaming Commision.

After a couple weeks of fretting and multiple pleas for tips from our SB resident smoker pros callmeox and Tcomp, I have just commenced smokin' my first pork butt on the Weber kettle. Commemorating the occasion with a smidge of SB.Com private barrel selection of Pappy 23. We're at 275 degrees and trying not to brood over it....:D

Looking forward to finishing chores so I can compare my week-old variations of the SB blend (a few ounces at 50/50, and a few ounces with 60 OWA / 40 W12). Been shaking and opening the half-pint bottles daily and can't (or refuse) to wait a second week.

Went to a bar that specializes in beer last night (32 beers on tap and another 200 in bottles) and was happy to see that they also had a few decent bourbons on hand. This place is nothing fancy, so the bourbons weren't top shelf by any means but they at least had the good sense to stock Four Roses Yellow Label, FR Small Batch, Old Fitz BIB, WT 101 and Russell's Reserve, Makers 46, OWA and Weller 12 plus a few others. I had a few OWA's with my pints of Three Floyds Gumballhead and left with a pleasant buzz and a head full of good zydeco music. Nice night out!

Very nice...the Pappy 23 at sometime before 7:44 AM that is. Joe I think you better bring this now designated early morning bottle, to Bardstown, so that we can fortify ourselves before our next 8:00 AM shopping trip to the Kroger...and just in case yoga pants is mia .

It's packed, and I can't wait...for yoga pants, that is... :D.

Celebrating breaking my smoker cherry with a pour of a Single Barrel 8 yr Bowman. A wonderfully thick and sweet pour. It's like dessert. :yum:

Enjoying some Kahn's FR1B OBSF, both sweet and spicy. Very nice. Sometimes I wonder why I drink anything besides FR's.

Congrats! It's always odd answering butt questions over SMS but I'm glad to get you on the right track.

(For the eternal 12 year olds out there, I was talking about pork butt questions)

I'm having a splash of OCPR Slope before heading out to clean some spyware from a friends PC. Practice safe surfing folks!

I smoked Baby Backs and had a local made IPA, Daisy Cutter, while scarfing said ribs and am now, really really enjoying some CEHT BIB SB. The bottle hasn't been poured from in a month or so and it's almost justifying its price tag tonight. You know BT rye mash bill bourbons do well following a meal of smoked BBQ. Perhaps a pour from my soon to be dead CEHT Tornado Surviving, will be up next .

Started out with some Vintage 17 which was quite good. Now onto some Old Rip 10/107. Then probably a cigar after that.
