I'll second the Lot B. Having a pour of it myself tonight. One of my favorites.

Definitely one that needs some air time

Started with tequila earlier in the evening after a nice Mexican dinner. Segued to bourbon at some point and was looking for something I haven't had in a while. I ended up with a glass or two of Virginia Gentleman which tasted mighty fine. This bottle has been open quite a while and has actually improved with time. It's a pity VG 90 is gone.

I had a really good day at work for a change. :skep: I decided to have a pour of WT 101 when I got home. It really hit the spot. Thanks Paul. You happy? :slappin:

I've been thinking about getting one of these.

I don't like JD, what do you think?

I don't like JD Black Label, either. The SB version is a lot better, IMO. I'm not sure it's worth the $40.00 price tag, but it's pretty good stuff.

Cooled off to a nice 83 degree night here in Atlanta. Out front enjoying a Punch Chateau L and a Eagle Rare 17. So far its been a perfect combination to relax from this ridiculous week.

It turned into a BIB night for me. Had some AA BIB for starters. That was followed by some older Dant BIB. Next to wheaters, I also love me some BIB's  Cheers! Joe

Yesterday, started with a couple of pours of AAA 10 yr., then later followed with a pour of Noah's Mill. Finally finished the night with a healthy pour of Booker's. All were good, but must say I really like AAA 10 yr. and Booker's!

Had a Manhattan made with Basil Hayden at a restaurant earlier that was quite delicious and now enjoying some JPS 18.

Stopped at a little "gin mill" on the other side of the river Thursday night ... I went in after work for a cold beer, but when scanning the liquor selection, I saw a bottle of Booker's. I asked "how much for the Booker's?" ... was informed that it was "Happy Hour" ... and a double was $6. Sweet!

Had my first pour of Johnny Drum on Friday and was definitely not a fan. Followed it with a pour of ORVW 10/90 and then a little Kentucky tea made with KCSB. bad start with a great finish!

I remember my first taste of Johnny Drum and thinking that it had the taste that only a beaver could love.

Went with the AAA 10 Year (not 10 star) and AA BIB last night while cranking the Allman Brothers in my music room. Excellent evening all around!

Just returned from our trip to Cumberland Falls, KY, where several of us spent time sampling from several bottles of bourbon. The Rock Hill Farms simply stole the show night in, and night out. It was spectacular. Lush, full, and flavorful from nose to finish. I have only had a couple of bottles of this previously, though have tasted it several times. I have always enjoyed it, but I never remember it being as good as it was from this bottle. My memory had told me it was thinner than what we experienced this time. This had the fuller mouthfeel of the bourbons of decades ago, and more of that rumminess characteristic that we crave. I will have to go get another, for sure.

Which Johnny Drum? I'm definitely not a fan of the green label stuff, but I enjoyed the Private Stock bottle I picked up a year or so ago. It isn't one of my top 5 or anything, but decent bourbon for the price (think it was in the high $20s).
