Hooker's house bourbon to finish the evening. Has anyone else tried this? It is getting better with every pour.

First, a pour of V17 wheater. Then, a pour of FR OBSO. No complaints. To our KY friends, enjoy the game. Should be a good one.

ETL to signal the end to a busy week. Following up with a healthy pour of FR 125th while we enjoy Kentucky v Louisville.

Had a couple small pours of:

Wild Turkey Kentucky Legend (1993) - Simply one of the best pours I've ever had.

Kenwood Smooth Ambler 8 year BP - A really nice pour as well. The full proof shines with this one.

I feel like I can only go down from here.

Some Booker's 25th as I settle in for the 2nd half of UofL v UK. Looks to be a fantastic finish.

Knob Creek Rye. Acquired it in a little mixed pack at Costco. The value tastes great.

Started off the UK / Louisville game with some SB blend, and for the second half, some 4R barrel proof OESK - dang, what a fantastic pour this is.

Balcones True Blue 100, Batch B100 13.3, date: 5/30/13. (I know, not bourbon.) It's nice for a craft distillery, but seems young. I like their Brimstone more, I think. This was just opened, so it needs a few more tries before I could give a final view on this bottle.

Four Roses Single Barrel regular, warehouse DN, Barrel 90-5P. I can only find one bottle code: 21713B, with a raised glass 3 as the only distinguishable number on the bottom of the bottle. Does anybody have an idea when this was distilled and bottled? This bottle is a little warmer (not quite hot) than the last couple of single barrels I have had, with more caramel notes and lots of sweetness, but also with a nice floral note.

Some Booker's......it's the strongest thing I have and I need it tonight, after watching "Coach One-and-Done" pull off another upset of UL's players who will actually graduate. Great game, but I never liked that attitude or style of coaching/recruiting. If all you care about is winning, I guess it does work though.

Cal's record at UK against UL and RP is 6 wins and 1 lose. I rather enjoyed the game, with some Bookers as well.

Had to attend one of those fundraiser banquets last night where they serve you cold chicken and sell JD on the rocks for $10. Good thing I planned ahead and brought a flask of the HH Gift shop ECBP 128 pf.

Put a serious hit on a bottle of OC 10yr while watching the games. The one and done is just so unfair to fans and players alike. Most never really make it in the NBA and then they've lost chance for a great education. I really wish they had to stay for at least three years just like football and imagine how much the fans would enjoy seeing really great BB.

I don't have to imagine it, all I have to do is remember it from the good old days.

Well, I guess you need more heat when pairing with cold chicken

Enjoying a short pour of some FRSB

exactly.

Ive been watching UL since I went there, 20 years ago. 20 years and 2 great coaches, and they always lack as a free-throw shooting team. I never understood that. That cost them the tournament game last night.

I was really hoping for UL win last night, as Mrs Fox wants to go to the casino. I HATE the casinos, but I was willing to go if UL won, as she could play all night while I sat at the bar and watched games and drank. o well......

A flask of that stuff would make bologna a culinary experience.

I figured I'd be pouring it over ice, so I went with something stronger. Y'all are right, though, I didn't need anywhere close to the whole flask. Didn't make the chicken any better though.
