Picked up a Redemption High Rye bourbon today. Reviews are not that great but wanted to give it a try.

Picked up a standard ETL.

Also I think we need a new thread to complement the "What did you purchase/What did you pass up?" threads. How about a "What bourbon did you miss out on today?" - because I missed out on Booker's 25th by about an hour today. Grr.

Barterhouse, not sure how I feel with the purchase after one taste last night. Really "forgotten" or marketing term for random barrels that none could blend or sell. I remember pine needles, spice, I would say tobacco but surprised not to see others include that in their taste notes. Wasn't really able to sit down with it.

Weller 12 and antique were plentiful in downtown Houston, would have been the best for the $, but I prefer a little more spice. Looking back 24 hours I sort of wish I would have picked up a big bottle for my wife. Haven't had the antique, might be more my style.

I passed on a second and third chance to buy Booker's 25th. Have one bottle waiting for special day.

Just picked this up today. Going to a friends March 4th for a tasting. Will be trying Bookers 25, ECBP, Willett 8 Bourbon, the RRSB, and if we are lucky the new Stagg Jr. I'll post the details in the tasting section shortly after.

Grabbed an OGD114. IMHO one of the best bang for your buck bourbons available. Also grabbed 2 SAOS 10yrs. Thought the 7 year was pretty good, so pretty excited about the 10yr.

Picked up an ETL for $26. NJ does not seem to be facing the ETL shortages everyone else is.

Good man! Often it seems too much board consensus leads to the stifling of individual exploration. Personally, I hated the stuff so good luck with that. ;)

Agreed! Had I relied on Google, I never would have picked up the Redemption barrel proof rye, and I rather enjoy it! Same thing with AAA 10 Star. Only way to know if you like it is to try for yourself. Unless someone offers you Black Velvet Toasted Caramel. Then you just KNOW you'll love it ;)

I really like the SAOS 10 year. I'm not sure if they're trying to keep a specific profile but the two bottles I've tried we're both very good.

Anyways, purchased an EC12 store pick today.

JREwing (novelty value since I live near Southfork), and Jeffersons Ocean (good easy drinker IMHO and OK value at $70)

Gary, you should feel privileged. I only offer that to most closest friends.

I do feel privileged :) I almost bought a 50mL of it that I saw in the store, but I couldn't find a suitable presentation box for it

Got an EC12 store pick. And even though I have a couple RHF in the bunker, I couldn't pass up another at $39, that's a good $10 cheaper than I've seen it anywhere else around here. Passed on a Barterhouse . . . . for now.

Nice Tony. $39 for RHF's is a great price. I may have to head up your way soon.

Not today, but traveled for work on Tuesday to Wisconsin Dells. Between two of us we got 5 ETL and one PHC Hope. amazing how the ETL has been missing here for many months, there it was everywhere. It made the plane ride back in good shape.

Walked into the store with no intention of buying anything... Walked out with Barterhouse 20, Rock Hill SB, Elmer T Lee SB, BT Experimental, Smooth Ambler Yearling, and some HH6 (first time I've seen it in Seattle).

I'd love to see what happens when you walk into a store with the intention of buying something!

Stopped by my local store today, the one I've been trying to build up a relationship with, he asked me what I was looking for today. Told him Elmer T Lee commemorative, he said he still hadn't heard anything. I was looking to see what else I should buy from him when we just chatted a bit, one thing led to another, and I found out he had some Bookers 25th tucked away in his office. He took $15 off for me so I got it for $85.

Had the good fortune to come upon a couple of ECBP Devils Batch on the shelf yesterday and picked them up. One for me and one for a fellow SBer.

Obligatory car shot...

Still Batch 3 (a few stragglers I presume?) so no sign of Batch 4 yet in Atlanta that I know of.

I'd say your relationship building exercise is progressing quite nicely.
