Passed on some PS 4R OBSO ( I got 2 of these recently from them already). They have proofs from 2 different barrels but same recipe. I am hoping some F recipes start appearing locally, would like to get some of that.

Passed on a Lot B for $249.99. Sadly this same store had two at that price when I was in there a month ago. And the GTS at $199 was gone too.

I'm guessing that was Paymore. I remember when they had Lot B sitting on the shelf for $65. Ah, the old days ...

ER17 2008 for $499

I have tried ER17 at a friend's house and liked it a lot but I just can't go that high

Brian, actually it was up in the Region. Paymore doesn't let the limiteds hit the shelves anymore. You have to reply to an email and tell them you want something/anything and they will "assign" you a bottle at a big markup-if you are one of the chosen. I stopped giving them my $ after they jacked up the first ECBP batch to $99.99. As Chuck pointed out in another thread, they can do what they want with their inventory and it shouldn't bother me. But likewise I can spend elsewhere and do.

Last time I was in a Paymore they had a baby Saz in the locked glass case for $60.

Ha! Tell them when they sell that one to give me a call, I'll cut them a great deal on another Fall 2008 ER17.

Bookers 25th for $150. Great stuff but not for $150. Probably be kicking myself in a year.

Checked another store and passed on some really good deals. If anybody in the Baltimore area is interested shoot me a message:

Parkers Heritage POH $74

Stagg Jr $45

Barterhouse $58

Old blowhard was pretty cheap too but don't remember exact amount.

Redbreast 21 for $199

Passed on a Wild Turkey Tradition at $109. Just didn't know enough about it.

The cheapest I've seen it is around $90-$100.

Is it something worth purchasing? I like WT101, but don't like their Russell Reserve offerings.

I have not tried it yet. I have had American Spirit which is 15 yr. instead of 14 yr. and it's very good. I like older RB too. Trey Manthey did a side by side and posted about it somewhere. He recommended both and I trust his taster.

I think thats a great price. I have been looking for one and would pay even slightly more (but not much). The one time i had it i approached it already with the WT burn in the back of my mind and was surprised at how subtle it was. The barrel came through and had a nice thick feel to it.

Tradition was around $100 most times I saw it. I bought one bottle before it disappeared. Bottom line, 14 year old Wild Turkey won't be more available or more affordable anytime soon. If you have any inclination to buy it, I would do it before someone else does.

Passed on a Stagg Jr for $159. Geez ...

That reminds me of the guy who has standard Four Roses Single Barrel on sale for $130.

If you're going to gouge people...uh, I mean take advantage of the current market like a smart business owner should...at least get the products straight.

Clarified that it's standard Four Roses SB

Doesn't surprise me. One of my dealers consistently has std 4RSB on the shelf for $79.99 and goes though it pretty often. Lucky for me I can drive another 5 miles and get it for $34.99.

Passed on some AE Rye and a whole row of Barterhouse (both $80). I was a lot closer to picking up some Hochstadter's Slow & Low Rock and Rye (but figured I'll wait until I'm picking up some other bottles to grab that)

I saw an EH Taylor Barrel Proof today and was tempted up until the cashier said $99.99, after that I thought I would just rather have another bottle of Four Roses 2014 Limited Edition SiB if I run across another one. Two Barterhouses also just sitting there and a lonely bottle of Elmer T Lee.
