It unusually hard today but I passed on. Stagg Jr, Booker's and Baker's that all ALMOST went home with me.

Had the same problem. This was soooo tempting! But I somehow managed to overcome the desire...

I know what you mean, it was all I could do to leave this one on the Walmart shelf in OH.

Apparently, Old Dan Tucker liked his bourbon with a "lot" of water!

I have never seen the word "diluted" on a bourbon bottle before!

There is some good whiskey coming out of Cleveland these days.

I did a double take when I saw the picture. I love their honesty though - rather than just saying "Super smooth - almost like water", they come right out with "diluted"

It's been around for awhile and can be purchased by mistake. Diluted whisky tastes just like the name implies, trust me.

love the honesty in it though, rather then putting some huge sticker with the number 10 on it with the words kentuckys finest under it..

Walmart doesn't have state liquor store inside it. (I am probably butchering the terminology here but) From my understanding, all Ohio liquor is ran through the state. When you find bottles of liquor outside of a "state store" they are only around 40 proof. I learned my mistake one new years eve when I first moved here and grabbed that bottle of old dan tucker because it was all I could find. Matter of fact, I just threw it away the other day after having it for two years.

Any liquor product above 42 proof in Ohio must be sold at a liquor store. Ohio allows "diluted" spirits to be sold at other licensed retailers and one can find rum, vodka, whiskey, etc for sale in diluted form.

I've never purchased or sampled one of the products, but if the are made and stocked, they must be selling to a core audience.

Passed on a Lot B for $249.99. Sadly this same store had two at that price when I was in there a month ago. And the GTS at $199 was gone too.

At the liquor barn In niles, they had 1 bottle left of saz rye for $35, already have 2 bottles not opened so don't even know if I like it or not, didn't want to risk the $35, also not a bourbon but almost picked up a dickel 14 year for $70 but let it go

ya know, utter curiosity combined with my drooling love for Dickel 9 would make me break the $50 rule, I imagine, and buy that Dickel 14

I pay $32.99 for Baby Zaz but if it was $35 I still wouldn't hesitate. IMHO it is an excellent rye.

Everything, hit 4 stores in midtown (east side, so not my usuals) and came up empty for anything good or even reasonably priced. Went looking for one store in particular because it has a rep as one of the better liquor stores in the city, and ended up leaving after the guy tried to sell me a Corner Creek by saying it was bonded (its 88pf)
