Did a road trip to Clinton, and over the river to Fulton, IL. Stopped at Eagle River Liquor and purchased a store select Four Roses Barrel Strength OBSQ, 10y 4m, 59,9%, and a Very Old Barton BIB.

Ezra B 12byr. SB, and decided to spring for the WT Diamond. Didn't have any as I'm battling a cold and wanted to fully appreciate it.

I've got my wheated bourbon on. Purchased some Larceny and Old Weller Antique. My previous purchase was MM.

After depleting my bunker, I finally snagged my first bottle of the "new" WTRB.

Since I abhor the "new" label, I'm hopeful that the contents of the bottle help me get over it.

Why these guys think that they have to keep reinventing the wheel is obviously beyond my limited mental capacity.

2 value sippers on sale and a weekend pour on sale too: Dickel 12 (17.99); JBB (14.99); and KC Single Barrel (28.99).

Nothing fancy, but all great bourbons I can enjoy without worrying about my bank account. OK, Dickel isn't bourbon, but its still great American whiskey.

Went out looking for Old Forester Signature and Four Roses Single Barrel. Struck out on the Old Fo', picked up a store select standard 4RSB (8yrs, 6 months) for $30.99. I sampled a friend's bottle from the same barrel, and it's excellent.

Most recent was a local store pick Russell's Reserve barrel strength single barrel (RRSmbSBzzzzz....). Really great bottle I had the chance to taste prior and love it. Will add more of this for sure.

WT-03RB 108.2 Proof for $34.00 A bottle of Booker's Batch C06-B-15 63.55% Abv 127.1 Proof aged 7 years 3 months,.. And Two bottles of Crown Royal Monarch 75th Anniversary for $69.99 each.. Bought the Crown Royal because Whiskey Advocate gave it a rating of 95 points and I have have other Crown Royals over the years that were quite good.. Prices are S.W. Florida.. Port Charlotte area.. Yesterday I bought a box/bottle of Booker's, C07-B-7 which was the selection Chuck Cowdery most recently participated in (according to his blog). I probably won't open it any time soon though, since I currently have one opened (C06-B-?). While I really like Booker's, I don't go through it that quickly. Bourbon on my top shelf is for "special" occasions...a designation assigned very arbitrarily.
