According to "Imbibe", this is negroni week.  So, with Italian food (featuring home grown veggies, salad greens, and sauce), we had negronis.  NOW, I'm in my TV chair.  Found a bottle of OGD bonded in the trash can.  I just finished the dishes, so a little relaxing while watching Roy Scheider movies on TCM is in order.

I've been punching the cult card a lot this week with 4RSiB and various PS Barrels. I ramped it up this evening with some 4RLE SmB '12 at one of my favorite BBQ places that has a good whiskey list. Keeping with the theme now that I'm home with some 4RLE SmB '15.

I keep a few bottles at the girlfriend's house for when I'm there on the weekends. Currently EC12, WT101, Woodford Reserve. Tonight I'm sipping the Woodford. It's ok, Not really feeling it tonight.

Bad news: Hit a slimy wet area on a curve during my bike ride today, and scraped the bejesus out of my leg.

That's gonna leave a mark...:D

Good news:  Convalescing in the garage with a fat pour (OK, 2...damn, 3) of VOB BIB 6 yr from the garage fridge is...uh, are ;)really taking the sting out.

One cannot deny the powers of medicinal whiskey. Hope your leg heals up fast. (From experience, I recommend treating road rash with an antiseptic skin cleanser such as Hibiclens for cleaning and washing without the sting you get from regular rubbing alcohol).

Thanks, Steve.  With all of the cycling you do, I'm sure you've had your fair share of em.  I thought of cleaning it with Stagg.  That'll kill anything!

Rode mine on the trainer today in the garage, harder to have a mishap. But not the same as riding outdoors. To reward myself I'm planning to have a healthy pour of er10 tonight maybe followed by a pour of mckenna bib.

A couple of nice pours of: Jim Beam Signature Craft Quarter Cask Finished Small Batch (3rd Release). Pretty tasty bourbon.

Been drinking EC NAS recently which I really like.  Switched it up tonight with a pour of Blanton's and now a pour of HMcK10 which is absolutely the best HMcK10 I have ever had.  I went back last week to see if I could find more bottles.  There was one left.  The employee at the store was shocked when I told him how I had to dig through the bottles to find the last bottle of this barrel #.   I told him that I was glad they didn't rotate their inventory, as they had just put the new shipment in front of the existing inventory.

I really need a trainer for rainy day cardio, and exercise this winter.  Also considering a concept d rower for better fully body workout but hard to swallow that $1k pill for one.

KCSmB again for me tonight while catching up on work because I was out all day.

I've had my share of scrapes for sure. For years I used what I thought was normal, rubbing alcohol and hydrogen peroxide. I just happened to have a standard checkup at the doctor not long after a crash so he saw the scar and asked what happened and how I treated it. When I told him, he said "What, are you some kind of masochist?" and told me about Hibiclens. It makes a big difference. You could go with Stagg, but that would be the masochist route! No infection would survive however.

On topic, I'm trying my first ever pour of EC NAS from a freshly opened bottle. At first it seemed very thin and grainy. I was disappointed. I walked away for 20 minutes to do other things, and when I came back, either it or I had changed. Now it's much more like the 12 year that I love so much. Happy to discover that all is good with the NAS.

Started the evening with a small pour of WTMK. Thought about finishing the bottle since there is only one good pour left but decided against it. Instead I did finish what I had left in my first HH6BIB bottle. Good news is I had one left in the bunker to replace it, with another case waiting in the wings back in KY.

I got a C2 model d in January by saving up credit card reward points for a couple years.  I love it.  As hokey as it is, the online logbook and team and individual competitions keep me interested and rowing.  Actually on the final week of a 24 week train up (The Pete Plan), so who knows what I'll be doing come next week.  Most importantly, since my wife is a nurse, I tend to have my daughter home by myself quite often at night, so having exercise equipment that I actually like to use is a lifesaver.

I've been ripping through a bottle if a Jackie's FW&S PS 1792.  Maybe, one of the best I've had of this brand.  When it is good, it has wonderful 4R floral and fruity qualities to it.

$33 state min.  I stocked up last year when it jumped from 23 to 28, then it jumped another 5 over the winter.  I got one less than half full and one left bunkered.  It was a steal when it was 23 but not sure how much I will be buying it at 33, at least until I run out of all my other high proof stuff I have bunkered.
