That's a fair price.  Consider yourself fortunate to find it.

Let us know what you think about it when you try it.

Didnt take long for me to open it.  Its good, but seems a little mild particularly for 100 proof.  It has the BT low corn (mashbill 2?) taste to it.  I look forward to tasting it next to ETL and Blantons to get some of those minor flavors figured out.  Ive been spoiled.  The boys in Tallahassee picked out some ridiculous standard BT that Ive been drinking, and for $42 family size it's certainly a better value.  All in all I have to spend more time with RHF but I dont regret buying it.

Finally stopped outside Indy looking for 3 Floyds beer at Crown.  Was not disappointed there (Alpha King and Backmasking).  The surprise was all 10 FRSB PS recipes, of which I needed only one to complete my set, OBSV.  And for $54.99 still, not the increased price.  Then back on the road.

....

Any chance you could PM me the store name and location?  I have only found 2 recipes in MI so far.  I can't afford all 10 but there are a couple recipes I really want to try so I might have to take a road trip down there for them.

Spend some more time with it.  I find that many bourbons change from the first pour to subsequent pours.  Let us know how it goes.

Picked up a WT Masters Keep on the drive home to my folks today.

Expensive, but very good whiskey.

Picked up a bottle of Elijah Craig with the 12/yo statement (on the back) for $25 at Wal-Mart.

Once again, just looking for dog treats and it just fell into the cart!

Just picked up my first bottle of Rock Hill Farms.  $51.99 seemed a little high but not unreasonable.

I personally like it better than Blanton's and I see Blanton's (at a minimum) for $59.99.  Yeah, it's expensive, but I've paid as much as $57.99 for it and don't regret it.  Let us know what you think of it!

Handle of BT for bunkering and a CEHT SmB - both on sale.  For some reason, HH products have been scarce the last month while Saz/BT are plentiful.  Two stores have told me they are awaiting HH back orders.  Good news is - HH says the problem is the supply chain, not availability.  OR, so I'm told.

Picked up a Barrel Bourbon #6 for $70, Blantons for $47 and a Bookers for $40. These are all running low on my goto's

Forged Oak, Metze's Select x2, and a Toms Foolery BIB for good measure

It's been awhile since I've bought anything, especially in volume like today.

Fun change.

I bought a bottle of Tom's Foolery BIB as well. I couldn't help myself after K&L talked it up so much

I really liked the Binny's Tom Foolery barrel selection.  It was a young bourbon but had a really nice finish.  I would love to try it at a higher proof (100).  I haven't seen Tom Foolery in Indiana but I assume Binny's will stock the BIB.

They do, it's where I got it tonight. I'm just excited that somebody has put out a honest, by themselves, full size barrel product.

There's too many products out that are just not ready for prime time.

Not widely available (but Binny's stocks it AFAIK) is a local MI distiller: Valentine's Woodward Bourbon.  It is a 4 yr old big barrel bourbon (aged in a temp controlled warehouse) that I really like for ~$40 here in MI.

Their vodka recently won best in the world honors.

speaking of which, I am due for another bottle of this as it has been some time since my last bottle

If this makes it to Maryland or the surrounding area, I will be buying it.  I've held off purchasing anything younger, but I will absolutely begin purchasing their product with the BIB.

The abc website said my local store got 24 bottles of ecbp on Monday. I've already grabbed two bottles of this quarter's release and I had stuff to do after work all week until tonight. I called and they had one bottle left that wasn't already held for someone. I asked them to hold it and grabbed it after work. Not sure if this release was larger than the past, but there was a time I'd have paid a hefty premium for my first bottle of ecbp. I've got a good inventory for a while now, and all at $50-60. ECBP is not something to chase on the secondary market, at least in Maryland.

Ran an errand that conveniently took me right by one of my favorite stores. I picked up a 4RSmB and an EC NAS. I must be approaching bourbon zen because I was actually pretty happy to pick these up. Not because they are hard to find but because they are really good whiskey that's readily available and I can think to myself "I really want a 4RSmB and an EC" and I can show up and buy one with no hassle or hustle required.

My favorite liquor store is kitty-corner from my favorite hardware store, so that works out conveniently rather frequently for me :D

I picked up the obligatory (according to all of you fine people) HH6BIB.  Also grabbed a J.W. Dant since I've never seen it in my area before.

I actually bought more Dant BIB than HH6BIB when I was in KY for the Sampler this spring.  Try it neat and then add just a very little bit of water and see how it changes.

Brought home a liter bottle of MM 'cause it was on sale. Surprised to see a Baby Saz, so it came home with me, too.

Found a bottle of BT for $23.99 and snatched it up. Best price I've seen around here in a while.

On vacation in Kansas, stopped by the local store there and saw Weller 107 . I didn't know much about it so I just grabbed some beer. Later that night I was doing some research and found that it was pretty hard to find and is supposed to be pretty good

Went back the next day to get two and it was all gone. I asked if they had anymore and was told they get allocated 3 or 4 bottles a month. Dang. So I ended up with the Weller 90 .
