And during National Bourbon Heritage Month even? Oh the shame.

Hey - I'm planning on NOT taking any of my red-headed step-children with me to Bardstown next weekend.  That'll have to be good enough :)

Where'd you find it?  My sources sold out within hours.

You don't really have to tell me.B)  But, I am jealous.

I got a bottle at the distillery the day they started selling.   Happened to be in Richmond for work, did a U-Turn. Talked with the distiller for a bit.  They only allowed one bottle per by the time i got there.

I had some SAOS 7y batch 184. Damn good batch. Then to end the night had a very good pour of WLW

Tasting Weller Centennial this morning.  Today he weather may not be the best, but that can't be said about the bourbon.

OGD114 Last night. A rock solid Friday night pour. Flavorful and I feel the rye spices are much better balanced with the darker, sweeter notes at 114 proof. All in all a great way to unwind at the end of a long short week

ECBP with (not in) my coffee this morning while watching college gameday.  I've been working on this bottle of ECBP for over a year now!  I just get too distracted by other bourbons.

Ran the gamut last night. Started by finishing off a pour of Bernheim left over from Thursday. I really like it after not dipping into that bottle for a few months. Then switched to Blanton's which I really enjoyed for its smooth wash of flavor. After the Bernheim it did have a little bit of a late kick which I never associate with Blanton's. Then I changed it up and went with Booker's Noe Secret. First pour of the bottle and it packs a punch. Got a strong peanut flavor that I've never identified that way in Booker's but I do recall getting it in other batches, just not as strong. I'll need to spend some more time with this one, which won't be hard because I like it a lot.

Cracked a bottle of EWSB '07 that I picked up a couple weex ago.    Had a small pour neat, and found it surprisingly woody for a 9-year-old, at least compared to most of the EWSB's I've had (most of which were older by a year or so).   I'll revisit after a few days.... or after the KBF, I suppose.      Maybe some air (though not much whiskey was poured out...3/4 oz?) will improve it.

Started with a 4RSB store pick while cooking, SAOS SB with dinner and Blantons outside by the firepit. Not a bad evening.

I've been enjoying pours of Eagle Rare the last evening from a bottle I bought a couple days ago. I didn't have it in a while.  I've not remembered it to be that good to be honest. It stands up there with Weller 12 and WT13! Premium stuff!

For the first time in a very long time (not counting when I fly Delta), I can say that I'm drinking Woodford Reserve. A local chef has selected a custom batch. It's similar to the single barrel programs from other distilleries but instead of selecting a single barrel, you select a number of barrels and then a custom blend of those barrels. This is better than any WR I've had in a long time. Full and rich in flavor. I'll be going back to grab a few more of these.

Went with several last night - Gifted Horse to start, then to Blanton's SFTB, and finished it off with Belle Meade 9yr SB high rye with a spash of Old Limestone
