Uh yeah.

I am sure that was asked sort of tongue in cheek but it is rather common, although very good.

I have got to make a road trip to Texas since your liquor stores carry every bottle known to mankind.

Just be sure to wait 3-6 month after the rest of the country gets theirs. That's when we get our allocations.

So true, man. I'd love to understand how that works.

It's a give-and-take situation.  I have some of both those bottles in the bunker, but can't find SAOS single barrel anywhere in IN.  Last time I was in Kentucky I found some in the first store I stopped at.  :o

I think it's pretty much we all want what we can't get.

Welllllll..... YEAH!!!!!!       Why want something you already have; or something you can easily obtain?

No opportunity to bitch and complain if it's available, not to mention obsess over whatever unicorn is nowhere to be found; right?

Went to an out of the way but favorite store today. In addition to seemingly always having things that other stores don't, this place offers 10% off if you buy three or more bottles. I always buy at least three.

I came home with: 1792 Full Proof, (2) 1792 High Ryes, and ECBP 136 proof (love this batch), and an OF 1920.

Already cracked the 1920 and am currently sipping on the High Rye.

Very nice haul. I'd like to try those 1792s.

Cheers.

They just let us live with our little fantasies... ;)

Pop my bubble, Dad.

OTOH, she does say things like, "You haven't bought any lately.  You feeling OK?  And, I'd never THINK of looking behind the dining room door - - -although I WILL be cleaning back there next week.  Just saying."

Went to Kroger Wine & Spirits to pick up a bottle of red wine to cook with and they had a really good deal on Bernheim Wheat.  Since I'm such a wheated fan I went ahead and picked one up.

BTW, the red wine did a good job in the mushrooms that I sauted to serve with penne pasta with broccoli and a 14 oz. New York Strip.
