Working on low fill bottles and a new one.

Started with OWA in the old label bottle. One or two pours left. Tasting exactly how you'd hope this one to taste. Full mouthfeel, caramel and toffee with a bit of cinnamon.

Followed with 4RSiB. Then a private barrel pick of RRSiB. Then a freshly cracked JDSiBBP - and wow, is this one good.

Must be nice to be young - I fall asleep after one (1) Glencairn of bourbon/scotch with a couple of sips left in my chair in the "Man Cave" and SWMBO has to come down, turn the TV off, wake me up and remind me to clean the glass before I go to bed!  Enjoy your youth, my friends!

Blanton's Std. SiB after finishing the first dram of the Gold.  This stuff is still really elegant and satisfying - I'm so happy now that I've tried both and found them exemplary companions on a cold winter night in New England.  Leaving tomorrow morning at  O-dark-hundred for a trip to Atlanta and a date with tanstaafl2's GBS on Saturday nite.  Oh yeah, I have to officiate at a swim meet, too!    :D

Put the tree up with the kids tonight.  It's 41 degrees in San Antonio which is miserable for us down here. Thought HW MWND was appropriate.

Starting to get my taste buds and sense of smell back after being sick for close to a week. These are tasting pretty good particularly the OWA.

Sipping on a nice KCSiB over one small cube in the Delta Sky Club. I love it when a client pays for business class flights.

The GBS private selection Elijah Craig landed today, and relaxing with a pour now.  Beautiful flowery nose of lavender and sweet oak, which carries over the palate.  Moderate lasting finish, and with enough oak to keep it interesting.  The lavender is really nice.

Been drinking a lot of Wild Turkey lately.  If I only drink bourbon distilled in Lawrenceburg for the rest of my days, I’m a happy man. Between Four Roses and Wild Turkey, who needs wheaters???

Finally cracked this years big LIMITED EDITION ;) Honestly I love everything about this release, it is a slight upgrade over Bonded, a bit more baking spices and cinnamon, generally more rich. More stuff like this please.

Sittin' here in my hotel near Georgia Tech sipping on a MMCS PS from Mac's (right around the corner).  Very nice sweet caramel with a drop of water - smoothed it out and the flavors that do linger quite a while.  :D

Do you think I'll survive very long tomorrow morning when I give the stoke briefing to a whole bunch of Georgia swimming officials wearing this t-shirt?????

It's my first bottle so I can't compare it to previous acts, but I like it a lot.  Has a great balance to it. Nice flavors, maybe candy apple? Nothing overpowering. Just enough spice and warmth without the burn. I'll have to pay closer attention next time to be more detailed. It's one of those you sip and think, "now THAT is a good one." Also, it's snowing in parts of San Antonio for like the 3rd time in 33 years so I had to...

Which reminds me, maybe I was being weird, but unlike everybody else I enjoyed my previous bottle (Act 2) mostly in August, 90+ degrees outside. I thought it was a very refreshing summer dram :)

Those bottles look black! What batch(es) is that?  Having some B517 tonight. I think my favorite batch was 12. I've got a couple 12s and a couple 11s in the bunker.

I opened my first bottle of MWND at Thanksgiving and really enjoyed it. I think that will be my Christmas week go to while off work.

Some age stated VOB 90 proof is on the menu tonight

I've got a bunch of those 6 year aged babies, except in 86 proof. They still make a pretty decent budget bourbon pour though.

I had a few 375ml at 90 proof as well as a 750 I got from a honey hole near me. As soon as I cracked it open and realized how much I enjoyed it more than the NAS I went and bought a few more tonight.
