Had a WR double oaked for the first time. I'm impressed, would drink again.

Capping with KC Rye atm.

Listening to Old Time Radio on XM while sipping on AAA 10* - about 3 oz. with two cubes taking the proof to about 60 - while in bed.  With the cat.

I still like the AAA with the ice.

Tomorrow is my wife's birthday, and she wants to go to a beef house.  Prime rib,  rye Manhattans on the rocks.  I am so lucky.

Got a new goto glass today so it was only fair that I had the first pour being what has been my goto springtime favorite...

What brand is the glass? Or is it a custom made glass?
Looks like a Ben Dombey’s new thin glass .

Ditto Blackie's @ 22d & M.  Good news is WDC has about a dozen really good ones.  And some of those actually have good bourbon and rye selections.

I'm digging the WT Longbranch (We've got to come up with shorthand for that one, might I suggest WTLB?) right now. Not overly complicated, but complex enough to keep my attention. A good spring-time, front porch pour.

It was a long week, and it's gonna be a long weekend.  <_< I have "several" bottles that have very little left in them. I figured I might as well work my way thru 'em. ^_^ I'll probably be posting in the "Empty Bottle" thread later on.

It is a Dombey, but it is the regular cut. No thin glass for me. These things are heavy duty!

Finished off a bottle of Blanton's listening to heavy rain while mentally preparing for a long day of soccer tomorrow.  I will have to find something for a night cap.

Been a while since I pulled a dram from the 2015 FRLESmB. Damn, the balance of oak, rye spice and vanilla on this bourbon is so well done.

Just put our son to bed. I'm going to enjoy the start of the long weekend with some Stagg Jr. So tasty! Way better than the batch I had about a year ago. IMG_20180518_175913.jpeg

The neighbor and I had our 9 year old baseball teams eliminated from a tournament tonight. Both our seasons are over. But it’s always bourbon drinking season. Time to properly commiserate.

Some SJR:C101 tonight.  Not much less in either of these. If I only do the blend they should run out at same time. I think the SJR is batch 6. Down to 2 bottles in the bunker of unknown batch. No bottles of C101. I know where I can get more in the plastic bottle so I'll probably keep the glass bottle.

I had two pours last night:  RHF and PH11.

I really like my RHF.  It is very balanced and has just enough proof.  Usually, I will stick with the RHF.  But last night, it wasn't working.

So,  I got out my PH11.  I have enjoyed this bottle over several sessions, with varying palate conditions.  The PH11 has never faltered.

I know some have not been high on PH11, but for me, this bottle has been amazing.

PH11 is what ECBP wants to be when It grows up.  :-))

Cheers
