Spade
Definitely interested in the McCarthy's cask strength. As for the EC rye. If it's a way for Heaven Hill to keep Ritt at its current price, then sounds like a good idea to me even if I have no intention of trying this new bottling. This year's release did not seem to live up to the hype based on the fact that I have passed on a couple in MD and seen several pictures of un-purchased lottery bottles here in Virginia. Personally, I just didn't want to drop $175+ on a 9 year old rye. A 17 year old bourbon will definitely draw more interest. I believe 17 is still tied for the highest age statement on a Wild Turkey release (right?).

My understanding is some of the barrels were aged at Camp Nelson (a defunct distillery that turkey bought)...the rickhouses were registered under dsp ky 69. DSP KY 67 is ‘the’ wild turkey distillery at tyrone, ky. Since the barrels were aged in a bonded warehouse under a different dsp maybe they had to list it??
