The next pictures are for you then Rich. ?

I'm doing a little "fall" housekeeping today. The bottles in my above picture are now tucked away in the deep dark recesses of my basement stash of empty bottles.  Before y'all start to worry about me, I had some help. Vosgar, Galvin0791, and a couple of guys at work have given me a number of empties.

PS. I'm collecting empties for a couple of projects to work on when I retire.

OMG!!!!!!!   But, I guess, now that I know about the 'help', as well as the collecting for that 'future project', I'm less worried about you, my friend.

My first thought upon seeing the pic from the earlier post was: "I hope Joe didn't drain more than an ounce or so from each of those bottles between weekly recycling pick-ups".  ?

Won’t be replacing but not bad at all for what it is. Looking forward to what they do in the future. IMG_6475.JPG

OGD BIB. Such a terrific bourbon and it’s priced right.

Well.... it used to be.

On second thought, I guess it still beats the hell outta 90% of the bottles in the entire Bourbon section of most liquor stores, as far as 'satisfaction for the dollars invested'.

So I guess maybe I'll take back my original comment.   Sorry.

Carry on.........

$23.99 at the ABC here which I think is very affordable.

Finished off with some honey, lemon, bitters and seltzer after a long weekend hiking in the high peaks of the Adirondacks.

Yesterday poured the last of my last 2012 Flaming Hearts, and today poured the last from an 10 yr old OBSQ pick.

Sad to see this one go, but glad for the room for the next bottle on the “to open next” list to take it’s place. This one was a great bottle.

I think that's the first empty bottle of Willet Pot Still that I have ever seen! Good work.

I don't think ESP had anything to do with the purchase when I bought a 1.75L of KC yesterday, I thought I had two pours left. Wrong, there was only one. Goodbye old label, hello new label. It doesn't hurt to have a spare to ease the anguish of parting.

Other than possibly a couple of semi-low fill bottles, this should be it for a while. I have a number of newly opened bottles that should last me a while. The weather has also turned, so no more sharing at bourbon & cigar nights with the local crew.

Take regular BT and raise the intensity with quite a bit of spiciness. There's also a little dark fruit, maybe raisins? I also get a decent amount of butter and occasionally some citrus. You might think there'd be a lot of wood influence because of the amount of sunlight and heat the barrels took, but I don't get that. Then again, wood doesn't bother me and I tend not to notice it.
