Way better than the standard WW I tried about three years ago. Yes it sure is, Steve! Do you happen to know what batch you tried 3 years ago? It might have been from one of the early batches that had a fair amount of acetaldehyde in it.

Richnimrod
Resurrected the last full bottle from a barrel pick done locally a couple years ago, stored away to make room in the queue for several that needed to be killed off, then left to languish for too long. Knob Creek SB 120. A wonderful balance of cookie-baking spices, brown sugar, roasted peanuts and oak. May be better even than I had remembered this barrel to be. I wish I had a case backed up. hollywood
I’m trying to knock out a 1.75L bottle of VOB90 to make some needed room, but really had a taste for some WTRB.. Got crazy and had a 60/40 mixture respectfully of each.. More then pleasantly surprised! Enjoying, and may concoct this crazy whim again!

It was the standard expression - not a barrel proof batch like this one - and it was really quite bad.

Despite the heat, my wife and I are meeting some family for our local annual Kiwanis Brat Days. Always a fun time with music, food, friends and family. They’ve been doing this for over 40 years now. We’ve been going for over 30 years, and I will say that I don’t ever remember it being this hot out. Biba! Joe
Vosgar
Having a pour from my Elijah Craig Barrel Select 200ml hand grenade this afternoon. Kind of disappointing this go around, seems like just a high proof single dimensional standard HH whiskey. I seem to remember more maple influence before. bayouredd
Been gone from SB for a few months, but for good reasons. Business is kicking ass, planted a cooking herb garden & got me one of these; and lives near at that... Grandson #2 Since the Little Lady is visiting Grandson #1 in Dallas, I thought I would celebrate Friday with a Yellowstone Limited 2018 & a Davidoff Mini Nicaragua...

The standard expression (small batch) is a very different beast these days, without those kind of faulty notes.
