Hoping everyone stays safe and most importantly, sane.

That's assuming I was sane to begin with

My daughter thought she'd pick up some more diaper wipes for her 9 month old, but the stores are cleaned out of those as well. Fortunately she has plenty at home and was just going to grab a few extras (apparently like everyone else)

The angle I was going for is that we would all have incredibly valuable currency.

Whiskey was used as currency in parts of this country in it's early days.  Just don't want to have a visit from the militia.

following @Clueby ‘s lead.

This is alright mixed (50/50), but I think I like the screwball by itself a bit more... in tiny quantities.

Still just sticking to airplane bottles of it though, or I’ll be stuck with a 750 for years. ?

The Mrs. hates all of it.

I have enough to cover a 14 day quarantine but seems like some people don't.  The MD governor closed schools for theee weeks.  Was in the LS today, and the guy says it was like a bomb hit the place yesterday.  He says every customer was either a teacher or a mother.  One couldn't deal with being out of work, the other couldn't deal with kids that long.

I really close to MEMA. They have been moving a lot of equipment in and out in the last few days.

It's getting crazy in Europe right now. In some parts of Germany they fought over toilet-paper. Yesterday I bought some Makers and WT 101, just to make sure I don't have to leave the house. I think there will be a total lockdown in the part where I live within the next week. Things getting interesting then.

I read Chancellor Merkel is predicting a 60 to 70 percent infection rate.  Stay safe!

We had a guy at work with the symptoms of Covid-19 who the state health department told to self-quarantine.  They were unable to test him to confirm.  Another guy chose to self-quarantine since he came into contact with someone who had been confirmed.  My company has multiple facilities and does a fair amount of international business so they are taking this very seriously.  They are also being very transparent so we stay on top of things.  We are allowed no outside visitors to our facilities unless they have been vetted and approved by management.

I live in a suburb of Indy.  We went out today and noticed less people on the roads and my wife and I and another couple were among the only people in the local Panda Express for over a 30 minute period.  This place is normally packed on a Saturday.  The drive through was busy.  The manager told me most vehicles coming through were packed with groceries and other supplies.  We went to the local Meijer and noticed less foot traffic and selectively cleared shelves including certain alcohol types and brands.  The hot commodities seem to be toilet paper, hand sanitizer, lysol wipes and bananas. Plenty of Jameson though.  I am also a soccer referee.  All games and tournaments, adult and youth, have been cancelled until early April.

This thing will turn us all into George Thorogood in the near term.   During these difficult times, stay safe and healthy my friends!

I always keep a pack in my car.  Have for years.  Friday I used my last wipe so I drove to several stores and couldn't find a single pack.  I will make my own with alcohol and paper towels.  I do see plenty of non-alcohol wipes but thinking back to when we had babies all those did was make things worse.

Here in Oklahoma I'm close to being able to trade a roll of Cottonelle triple ply with the cleaning ripples for an AR-14.

My mini bunker is safe and good for a few months if needed.

Im ashamed of how long a quarantine I could endure.

Same, at 2oz a day, I could probably go about 3 years without buying anything. And that's without breaking into the rum, gin, or brandy. But probably what I have the most if at the moment is Knob Creek store picks, we've gotten a number of 14-15 year picks in the $35-45 range recently so I probably have a dozen at the moment (and have been going through maybe 1 bottle per month here, while rotating through various other opens). One store up the street still has a 14 year pick, I should go see if it's still on sale....

This is when being a collector of barrel proofs pays off. CDC recommends sanitizer with 60% alcohol, so with a good supply of KC120, ECBP and Stagg Jr on hand, my mouth and throat should be nice and sanitized?.

Agreed.  So subtle and yet so topical.

Anybody else hear the rumor that China had some success treating Coronavirus with quinine, the old anti malaria drug?  First time in a long time I went into a liquor store and but something other than bourbon or scotch. I’m sure I’m crazy but Gin and Tonic(with its 20mg of quinine) sounds like a great prophylactic.

G&Ts are a happy hour go-to for us on chicken/fish nights which seem to be more frequent - I really gotta start keeping track instead of relying on memory.  ANYWAY! we have a couple cases of tonic in the pantry because we can never remember how much we have.  Bombay sapphire (2 oz.), juice from half a squeezed lime (a tsp. or so), a teaspoon (or so) of simple syrup, and a few juniper berries over ice.

I won't rely on this, but I sure will use it as a reason to suck down a few G&Ts.

Little man's school is closed for three weeks.  So, I'm watching a lot of Peppa Pig cartoons.

I'm not paranoid, but I know best practice is not to take him anywhere with groups of people.  Church was cancelled too.  I have no problem wearing gloves and going to the store by myself.  I cleaned out and organized my pantry.

Thanks to a grocery chain that runs quarterly 30% off sales - there is no chance I will run out of our favorite refreshment anytime soon.

I'm good as long as no one starts a drinking game where you have to take a drink every time you here the term corona virus.

That's no shit. All participants would die from alcohol poisoning twenty minutes into the game!
