I bought one bottle that I opened this weekend. As @flahute says its a little hot but good. I proofed my down to around 108. I really like it. It compares favorably with B519 and C919. I really like C919. This one is really close. I am looking to pick up another bottle this week.

Maybe it's just sub par barrels that I've had. I haven't had any barrel selects but I have enjoyed the two bottles of the standard offering that I have had. Outside of New Riff and Tom's Foolery, I am not certain I can name another "craft" bourbon that I have enjoyed. It may not be in your wheelhouse. Woo it's got some . I have to say it's the first batch I've had in the new bottles that lives up to the old ones. I've got a batch 12 that is close in proof at 136 that I need to do a sbs with this one. Batch 12 (the last one before the new bottles) was pretty much my favorite of the old batches. At least out of the ones I had the fortune to try. I'm having this one neat. Might try some water in a pour tomorrow.

I enjoy these so much that I try to buy at least one of every batch. I was talking with the liquor manager at the store where I make most of my purchases. I asked him about A120 and he told me he hadn't tried it since he didn't feel the need to buy every batch. My mind spun a little and I ask him I could have a bottle. I've yet to actually see a bottle 'in person' so to speak. I was beginning to think it may have been an elaborate hoax until some here began posting pix. I guess distribution (like so many other limited supply Bourbons) is EXTREMELY variable.

I got lucky at my favorite restaurant in town. The owner was raising some cash for his wait staff and bartenders. They have always taken care of me with outstanding service and even better steaks. It was a “right to buy” raffle (under the radar) and I just happened to know he had these in the back. Two earlier winners went for the show bottles in the bar, I knew he had these. I paid about double retail but will more then make up for it when they re-open, eventually. It went to a great group of ladies and guys. In the mean time, !
Mattk
Got to try one of these at a tasting earlier this year. Not usually a bourbon guy. I know... cursing in church... But I do love my ryes as everyone here knows who has seen the rye forum in the last few months. Completly shocked my local guy. I bought a bourbon. Like a deconstructed apple pie goodness. Looking forward to this one. Edited May 19, 2020 by Mattk
JCwhammie
RR10 has been a go to for quite a while, which hasn't been dampened by the quarantine. I had actually bought the 2007 Foursquare, but they charged me for the Nobiliary (ordered and paid online for curbside pickup). I decided to not fight it and accepted this one. Richdel
Went shopping/hunting this past weekend, came up with a few bottles to help me pass the time in quarantine. * A 9 year old store pick of EC. * Larceny Barrel Proof * Four Roses PS, (OBSF - 9Y11M- 116.2) * Eagle Rare, my first ever bottle, spent some time getting to know it these past couple of days. Still looking for my last FR recipe (OBSK) to round out my total lineup. The bottle above is my 2nd bottle of OBSF. There were only a few left so I decided to indulge. Passed on two bottles of MM46 PS. May go back a some later point and give on of them a try.

An "in-yer-face" visual reminder of just how ugly the current WTKS bottles are! I miss the 'tail fan' bottles so much every time I see these 'new, improved' ones. Jazz Nut
Picked up a store selected Knob Creek and a Knob Creek 25th Anniversary. I greatly enjoyed my past bottle that was hand selected by Ace Spirits in Minneapolis, so needed to pick it up. It’ll be fun to open these bottles and do a bit of a comparison. The Knob Creek is 9 years, 2 months, and the Knob Creek 25th Anniversary is ~13 years, based on the barreling date. Even though I am a big Wild Turkey fan, I can't pass up a store select Knob Creek, or the 25th Anniversary. Adam777
Yesterday, I happen to notice MCS on sale this month in Ohio for $39.99. Couldn’t pass it up and then I noticed a Makers PS and EC PS. I went home with the EC. Makers PS has been very hit or miss for me. I popped both last night out of pure boredom with COVID-19. The EC hit on all the right notes but that MCS was fantastic. I don’t know if it’s this batch or what but I don’t remember it being this awesome. Sweet and syrupy that tasted like caramel covered strawberries.

I sure hope mine is as good as how you’ve described yours. Is the Maker’s PS you mentioned a regular MM, MMCS, or MM 46? Just wondered. Thanks. Biba! Both were released before the well aged picks that we've seen over the last few years. So perhaps it just a cost thing now.

I bought the 2001 LE (batch 1) and was very underwhelmed, it was ok bourbon, but not worth the price, or a LE status, so to speak. A lot of store picks were better, and at a higher proof. The 25th that I had was truly good, and am hoping for the same thing with this bottle. But yes, some of the 12-15 year store picks are great stuff.
