I wasn't really doing any tasting notes and I forget exactly how I ordered them. Although I am discounting the results as it was too cold to nose properly (and blind I know I had 2017 first and 2013 last which doesn't feel at all right - any time I had 2017 and 2018 together I always had a strong preference to the 2018) 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

When one of these is finished I'll open the third & see how it fares. Given it came from the same shelf in the same warehouse as the one I'm farthest down, I have high hopes. As I was checking out, the manager(?) noticed I was wearing a Vietnam Era Vet hat, he commented on me being a vet and said hold on just a minute. I pulled my American Legion Gold Card out of my wallet, and he said don’t worry. I said really, cause back in my neck of the woods people say they’re vets just to get a discount, and even at places like Lowe’s where I go regularly, they always ask for ID. He just shook his head. He thanked me for my service, and gave me a 10% first responders discount. Yeah, it may have only been a couple of bucks, but it really made my day, and put a smile on my face. Every once in a while.
