Yes, thank you for the genuine concern. You guys are a great support group. It was touch and go for a while but I pulled up my really big boy pants and tried not to cry too noticeably. I think I’ll be ok.

Well Tim, since you brought up empty Maker’s, I’ll probably have a MM 101 along with a MM 46 headed to the Big Blue Bin in very short order.

As promised. I hadn’t noticed the BT only had a few drops left, so it be gone now too. Not that I need to, but I’m trying to empty some bottles and make some room on my open shelf. The Weller Whore has a plan.

Worked in the yard blowing leaves this afternoon. When I came in I needed a medicinal pour.  Man this bottle disappeared fast.  Fortunately I have several other members of the gang hiding out in the basement.

I finished a few more bottles over the last few weeks. They were headed to the basement, but when I went downstairs to grab another box to put them in, I decided to once again pare down the empties I have. I loaded up 5 boxes with another 69 bottles and headed to the recycle center. Even after getting rid of all those bottles, I still have a fair number of empties that I can use for my projects if and when I ever get to ‘em. Hey, at least I now have a path through the mess in my basement.

I finished this one off last night with Mrs. Clueby.  If you know me, you know that MGP is not typically my thing so it took a while.  This one really tasted great on the initial palate but still had that slightly sour MGP "funk" finish to it.

In 1971 my favorite band was probably CCR. My favorite song was It's too Late by Carole King. (because I had a crush on an older gal that I knew was out of my league, I watched tales of the War in Viet Nam daily because I knew I was going (but didn't, Saigon fell the year I graduated High School) and bourbon wasn't a thing yet.

 

50 years later, my favorite band is talk radio and even that pi$$es me off, my favorite song, something from back in the day and boy, "do I like bourbon:!!!
