I hear he's been promoted to chief marketing manager up in Frankfort.... Luckily I bought this bottle back in 2018 before his most recent visits... I always liked the CEHT SmB well enough, I didn't feel the need to pay the extra $25 to get a single barrel that might miss the palate mark. Oh well, live and learn, buy it if you want to try it, you might not get another chance Cheers
HoustonNit
Had a great Saturday, slept in, wife took kid to jiu jitsu and came back with kolaches and brewed a pot. Took my 7 year old to my favorite ghetto par 3 course. Good times when you tee up on hole one, the local good ole boys hanging out at the “club house” comment on how the kiddo hit it straight on to the green while you hit it 20 yards over the green and to the right. Afterwards went to a local brewery for a beer while the kid played some arcade car game and some miniature golf outside. Met the wife for an early dinner on the patio area of an overpriced pizzeria/bistro in one of those gentrified parts of town. Luckily place is next to one of my favorite liquor stores. I ended up finally buying some tater bait, 5 year $50 NDP from Indiana with cool stickers. First SAOS since when this place had literally over 20 barrels of SAOS all 10-13 years for almost the same price. Told the owner I must of bought three cases worth over 1-2 years they had them. She told me some rancher came in from Corpus Christi and bought 10 cases one Christmas. Also some 12 year RL Seale and that one of you highly recommended and a Pear brandy I had before that I really liked.
lemonman
Been having a bit of an off palate for a few days, so I opened something that usually works when things are off- Larceny (store pick). This one's from somewhere different, and boy, is it hitting the spot! Last pick I had was also a new one and very meh, but this one's pretty darn good...we'll see how it progresses.

Wedelstaedt
So, I picked this up last weekend. As I was paying, a Millennial walked in, asked the cashier, for "any allocated bourbons". He was told, we don't have any, he turned around and walked out. I chuckled to myself, I have my "allocated " Bourbon right here. Opened it up tonight, yep, good purchase. Cheers

I’m normally the one asking about allocated bourbons in back or behind the counter. I’ve seen “millennials” around here on their phones sending pics, then they’ll ask the person they’re talking to if they should buy it. Or, as in one instance I overheard, “So, do you think it’s worth notifying the rest of the guys? “ Biba! Joe
GeeTen
Had the last dram of my summer refridgerator GW4G today and whipped up a new batch (no fridge) for the fall. That qualifies as opening a new bottle, yes???
