Been depleting the bunker so that called for a road trip, northeast Ohio to Watkins Glen NY for some fine dinning and relaxation.  Ran into some 'duh' moments and passed on $76 CEHT small batch and $54 standard buffalo trace, but I think I done good.  Sometimes seeing double is a good thing!

Are they still bottling new batches of WB Saffell; or is this bottle I picked up today from 2019?

Up in the ADK for the week and snuck into one of my favorite locals.  WB Saffell in the glass case for $40!!  Yes, please.

Grabbed a bottle of Vecchio Amaro del Capo as well, another one I've not tried yet.  Thanks, Dave.

Execellent. I’m heading up to Bar Convent Brooklyn next week— where most every Italian spirit producer is well represented— i.e., Meletti, Lucano, Branca, Molinari, Strega, Nardini, Luxardo, Varnelli, Montenegro, etc. It’s typically the descendants of the founders doing the pouring and talking— so great fun.

Let us know how the McKenzie BIB tastes when you try it. I had a chance to purchase one when I was last in NY in 2019 but did not and have not seen it since. I think the distribution is quite limited on it if you are not in NY or CA. I've seen some good reviews for it.

I'd be interested in notes on the MKZ BiB as well.  The 2019 release was fantastic so I bought a couple of bottles of the new release and it was terrible!  Just musty and funky on the nose and palate and didn't improve with air time.  Undrinkable!  Synthetic cork so I know it wasn't cork taint.  Fortunately, K&L allowed me to return both bottles for a full refund.

I was able to pick up a bottle of ECBP B521 Friday night.  Haven't really been able to readily find this out in my parts the last couple of batch releases so always excited to try it.  I'm still on my B520 bottle (luckily have a backup as really enjoying this one).    Hearing some mixed reviews online of this one but still looking forward to it.

Has anyone ever seen a 1 Liter size of 1792?  I had never seen it before. It's a weird shaped bottle, tall and narrow almost like a wine bottle.  I included a 1.75 and 750 in the photo for scale, and also a Bookers bottle.

The store had a 10% off sale which made the Liter size equivalent to a 750 at $22.60 so I went ahead and picked it up.

The laser codes begins with L21 so I guess it's a new size.

I had a bottle of the McKenzie BIB to sip on when I bought the Two bottles in the picture.  The nose was peanut brittle sweet but not too sweet.  Palate was definitely young 4 year old oak but well balanced with a subtle enjoyable complexity.  Finish was long and dry and the oak stayed along for the ride.  I wish I had bought more.

Curious look. It looks like that bottle was made from leftover bottles. Is this the first Frankenstein Bottle 😆

Haha it's defintely odd looking.  1792 -- the king of awkward looking bottles!

Ugh.  And I thought the 1.75ml was ugly.

Was at our local Costco a few days ago and picked up a KC12.  First time I've seen it there or anywhere else (I don't get out much).  $53.99 +tax.  Thought it was a good price for one I've been wanting to try.

Saw this one this morning, and considering I haven't found a EC product I didn't like, decided this should come home with me.  Anybody tasted this one yet?  Since it is now available in Delaware, I figure >75% of the nation has had their chance at this already.  First state is always last to the party.
