Wedelstaedt
Enjoying a rare Sunday pour. Chose a paper label OF 86. A unique whiskey, for me. It has a burnt sugar, pecan pie filling thing going on. Delicious. I never have found an older OF 100, but I still keep an eye out. Cheers

Very similar, but for the burnt sugar flavor, the 86 proof has it beat by a country mile. Still, if you like Old Forester profile, you need the 1920 on your bar. The neck pour was quite hot, but have had several more now, and it has opened up a lot. The nose in particular is much better now - first pour all I was getting was ethanol, but now getting a lot of complex notes of oak and fruits.

Is that from the gal who shakes uncontrollably when pouring the legally mandated single in order to boost the pour? I tip her well. I hope your air travels are delay/cancellation free. I go out in the morning. Regards, Dave

My son and his wife were recently on vacation in Europe. They only had a couple of fairly minor issues. Fortunately they returned home just before this latest mess of delays and cancellations. Biba!
