Cold night in Indiana.  WT101 to warm up while contemplating the Colts historic collapse this afternoon.

After the Cowboys, I said, 'enough is enough'.  I was not even going to tune in to today's game, but my wife put it on just before halftime.  So, I got lured into it.

Is there some way to un watch a football game. 🤬

I'm trying with regular MM

Wow.  I didn't watch the game but I just read about it.  You might need something stronger than Wt101 or 90 proof MM.  That was rough.

I opened with MM101 while the wife and I watched Home Alone (first time I've ever watched it).  We followed that with Charlie Brown Christmas, which is an annual tradition in our house since I was a kid. Much better.

Now I have MM BRT-02 in my glass while watching an old Rifleman episode in my mancave.  Warming up the amplifier, getting ready to switch to music ... think I'll put on some Vince Guaraldi Christmas music while I continue to sample various wheaters.

🥃

Charlie Brown Christmas & The Rifleman, in one evening?  Wow, A+ TV there! 👍

What do you think of the MM BRT-02?

Cheers

Indeed, I have all four Advent candles going now.  I can look at those too.

I actually pay less for these MM LE "wood finishing series" than I do for regular store pick MM PS bottles, so I'm a satisfied customer.  But the BRT-01 and BRT-02 aren't any better than MMPS store picks.  I purchased one each of the BRT01 and 02, and while I do like them well enough, I won't be buying any backup bottles.

That is some good analysis, thanks for the heads up.

Spent the afternoon at the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra Yuletide Celebration.  Always an enjoyable show!  Had a double, or maybe a triple, of WR on the rocks at the show.  The bartender pour a pretty hefty double.  I rewarded her with a pretty hefty tip. 😉

Home tonight, waiting for the new episode of Yellowstone.  Drinking a single but solid pour of WT101 to cap the weekend.

It's been a few years since I've been to Hilbert Theatre, but I've always loved the ISO shows despite not knowing a whole lot about classical music or instruments.  (I guess I now understand why my wife likes going to baseball games, even though she'll never understand an intentional walk or a double switch.)

Drinking Green River Bourbon for the first time as part of my advent calendar.  A bit light, nonoffensive, but a longer finish than I would have expected.

This one is great because it is a Christmas variety show with music, skits and dance.  All of the music is Christmas songs so most are recognizable.

'15 OFBB and it's tasting exquisite. My first pour last night was a little dominated by the acetone and the oak. Tonight it's tasting like I remember. The old timers here might remember how OFBB was synonymous with the holidays for me right after PVW15 and GTS. Again it's from getting my first bottle during the holidays. That tradition has fallen by the wayside over recent years due to no longer being able to get it so I decided it was high time to raid the bunker and reinvigorate it. Man do I love that bottle. Man do I hate how much space it takes up!

Remus Reserve Volstead.  I forgot about this one, it was tucked away in a dining room cabinet.  Maybe my wife is right, I may have too many bottles tucked away around the house……………….nah😂

That's a pretty good analogy right there!

Had a 3 oz pour of THH at at bar/restaurant for $35. It was phenomenal!  opened up as I added small chips of ice while sipping. wow.

May go by for another (if there is any left) tomorrow evening on my way up to do my show at our local public radio station.

Home now with an ounce of EC 10 yr SBBP store pick blended 50/50 with standard EC rye. very yum.

The viscosity on every Beam Bonded I’ve had has been extraordinarily thick.  Younger Beams exhibit this characteristic much better than older Beams for me, and that’s why my enthusiasm for their whiskies wains after KC’s 9 yrs.  The Bonded may be my everyday favorite from them, but unfortunately, it’s not everyday available…😐

Now we can all rest easy,

knowing who the target audience is for the 2 year old Hardin’s Creek. 😜

Probably my favorite 'opening pour' whiskey that I have on my bar.
