Managed to find a WT Forgiven in Germany at a decent price for EU standards, paid 106 Euro, about 112 USD. This is batch 302.

Also found a Jim Beam there, that I wanted as it is the Choice Collection with van Gogh on it. Since my wife is a distant relative to Vincent, wanted to have it. I do see the empty versions appear on Ebay or other sites, but the unopened bottle is hard to find. She loved it, it is the first bottle that I am allowed to have in the living room:D

Four Roses Small Batch Select - going through this way too fast!

Same. Recently picked one up and I don't know what happened but it's tasting way better to me than I remembered. Crushed it and had to buy another last weekend.

Today was our state's monthly allocation drop for February.  This is what we picked up. I've been on an EC BP kick lately.

That's got to be from what, the late 1970s - early 1980s.

When it rains it pours.

My wife went to Nashville yesterday afternoon to visit her Dad and stopped at a couple of stores in Murfreesboro.  She picked up two more C922s and two A123s and a couple of others.

That is a very cool bottle.  Extra cool that it is full.  Pretty sure Mrssmokinjoe would approve that being in our living room any time!

Barrell Batch 034 on the shelf but not in their computer system so they can’t sell it yet.
Waiting is agonizing.

I had the opposite problem when ECBP C922 and Remus VI hit my stores.  It was in the system but not on the shelf.  Both times it took about 20 minutes til somebody was able to find the actual bottles for me.

Had a bit of luck in Atlanta duty-free on the way to Paris.  The let us each take one, they do not let one take anything beyond the duty-free limit.  So snagged 2 WTRB NCF's.  Shipping back to States will add $15 to the cost (luggage spots are already spoken for).  Seems worth it.

Good start to the trip, thankful for a bit of luck.

getting a liter of RB for that price is a good buy since they are $50 - $55 for a 750ml around my area. After factoring in shipping, you are most likely still saving $$ over buying locally to you.

I enjoyed the part where the gal questioned the guy on his, “I feel this is going to change” part.  Her response was such a controlled version of, “(bourbon spurts out of her nose) What the fuck kind of internet BS statement was that?!?!?  You’re such a tool…(with eye roll)”.  LOL!

I found the regular version for $36 in Indiana.  But this one is the NCF version, so I was willing to snag two and pay to repatriate them.

Mom called me from the Coast Guard package store with a list of sale items.

Nothing on sale interested me,(WT Longbranch $32.00...Bulleit rye $23.00, Uncle Nearest 1856 $47.00) but I did have her pick up a bottle of RRSiB and a bottle of WT101.

$74.00 for both, OTD.

Ever since the October visit to France, we've have a few local colleagues accumulating Gold, SFTB, and W12, which are much easier to get here than in the US.  Taxes included, we are looking at 103 E on the Gold, 125 E on the SFTB, and 50 - 55 E on the W12.  Some is for friends.  Between that and the haul from St Maarten, should have plenty in the bunker for some time.

Also got Bookers 2015-2 for $140 (vi an auction site, that includes shipping to US; they were acquired by the sellers in Andorra for circa 60 E).  A little steep, but I am curious to try one of these older ones.

Sum total:  11 Gold, 3 SFTB, 4 W12, 3 Bookers, in order of "ease of finding at that price".

Taking #1 daughter to St Emillion today for tastings, vineyard visits, etc.

If the Longbranch has MM’s signature on it is now a “collector’s” item;)

Finally snagged 2 Barrell batch 034s (and a few more) including a family size buffalo trace. Life is good!C72F5881-48D4-403C-9C18-41BF4EEB7F93.thumb.jpeg.d3a78b5dd8e9563c79933f6be946f982.jpeg

I've been really enjoying ECBP lately, so I had to pick these up over the last week.  One local and two online after hearing great reviews.  Already have a B522 and another private barrel open, and a C922 on deck.  It's going to be hard to know where to start on all these.

I had to look at the bottle that I have to figure out what you were talking about, 😊. The one I have has his signature on it.

I've been trying to kill it for a while, just not a fan, (of the whiskey), but I think MM is alright,  alright,  alright!
