RR13 after granddaughter #1's soccer game today.  She scored the third goal in a 4-1 game but was illegally tackled as she shot. She was deliberately stepped on by an opposing player (we have the video).  Out of the game and on the way to the hospital for x-rays which revealed a small fracture.  Back home in a boot and will miss tomorrow's travel squad game.  We have reviewed the tape and know the opposing girl's number . . .  boy, this RR13 is great!  What was I talking about???

Been a Lawrenceburg kind of night with a bias to 4R. Started with a 12yr OBSK from 2015 followed by a 9yr 7mo Bourbon Crusaders OESV. Then a WTRB followed by the star of the night - the final pour of 2020 4R LESmB. Damn.

Tonight with my brother we had a SBS of the Russell's Reserve single rickhouse CN-F and RR13 first release.  I'd say the RR13 is more fruit forward with more subtle complexity, and the CN-F is more of a flavor freight train.  I slightly prefer the CN-F because it's the more unique Wild Turkey flavor experience.  I haven't had any other modern Turkey that compares to this. I missed the RR1998 bottle so I may never know how that one stacks up to this SR CN-F.

I spent the week in Savannah visiting a close friend who moved there when he and his wife retired.  It was a spectacular week.  My wife and I had never been to Savannah but learned all about the Squares, local heritage, and visited SCAD and Tybee Island.  It didn't hurt that my friend's wife is a tour guide in downtown Savannah so we got a personal tour.  Great city and great time!

 

Returned home to mow and mulch leaves, and put up Christmas lights. 

 

Lots of bourbon and rye during our visit.  Home now, and drinking Alberta Rye Cask Strength and FRSiB.  Back to work tomorrow.

Do you know what msrp is now? I got lucky and found a Weller 12 back in the spring for $35.99 iirc. I haven’t seen OWA

in at least a couple of years now.

MSRP for OWA is right at $50 now.  That's what they are in Ohio. W12 MSRP is $35-40 I think.
