RR15 with a slab of Dry-aged Prime NY sirloin strip seared "Pittsburgh Rare" on the Napoleon Infrared Sizzle Zone burner - 1.5 minutes on each side - and simple Caesar Salad (no Anchovies - gotta' watch my salt) with Skinny Caesar salad dressing (gotta' watch my glucose).  Yummo!  😘

A man's gotta' eat and drink well, no?  😇

What about the cholesterol? :)

Docter said cholesterol levels are fine - High Density Lipoprotein levels (HDL - good cholesterol) are satisfyingly high from current intake of whiskey!  I swear that's what he said . . .   🤩

I'd stick with the anchovies, just go with less dressing overall.  The anchovies are a flavor enhancer (little goes a long way), really make the Caesar Salad, but that's my opinion.

That's what I told SWMBO and she said "salt bad, lot's of salt really bad!"  🤣

A fine meal of fresh Norwegian salmon cedar-planked on the Napoleon grill on the deck with a wee dram of RR15 for The Chef.  It was a warm (80s) day and warmish (74) nite for the cook.  Yummo!  😋

Great choice, in both the whiskey and the salmon.    I'm doing 10 lb of cedar planked salmon for the tailgate on Sunday.    Do you put anything on the fish before you cook it?    I make a rub with brown sugar, ancho chili powder, a little salt, lots of cracked pepper and a pinch of cumin....

I just rub EVO into the slab (also checking for pin bones that my fishmonger may have missed) and some simple dried Italian seasoning.  I let SWMBO and the grandids add their own soy sauce to taste after cooking.  I'm old and lazy.  Your rub sounds delish!  😋

The RR15 was mighty good, too, while sitting on the deck in the warm evening breezes.  Who ever heard of 80s in November in New England???  Records in Worcester, Providence and Boston.  🥳

Since I no longer have my buffalo glass, this is my new favorite glass.  I believe it came from a gift set but I don't recall which one.  WR?

Bottle kill pour of ECBP B524 while preparing to watch the Bengals-Ravens game.

We took a private tour at the distillery back in 2017 and had a blast.

They have a small rickhouse in a barn, where sat in leather recliners and drank rye straight out of the barrel.

At the time, their bourbon wasn't ready.

This is a very good pour....

This has certainly been a most pleasant November!   Today was a cloudless sky, the ocean sporting the calmest of curls,  and 70 degrees.    Tonight it's gotten a bit cooler,  so out here under the stars with Fred the tipple is the mighty Pikesville.

I love 9/80 Fridays

I wish.  I love 5/80 Fridays.  Just kidding.  It has been a long week due to a plant outage but I did get to roll out 1/2 day today since my projects were done.

Bucking the FRYEDAY trend and going for a Wheater Weekender tonight.  I had a couple of wheaters that I wanted to open while watching the new Hallmark Christmas movie.  😀

Started with Rebel 10 Yr, next up will be Larceny BP C924.

Wheater Weekender!  I like it.  I may join you next weekend because I already poured a Rye for Fryeday!

Spectacular.  Hopefully, you didn't trip over one of the rungs.  Which was/is your pick of the evening?

Thanks.

Those are 1 oz pours.

They're all great.

The 15 is the pick of the evening.

Dug up all of the dahlias, tomato plants and sunflowers in the garden today. Hung Christmas lights on the outdoor trees.  I will work on the house lights tomorrow.

Enjoying a pour of Stellum Lyra Single Barrel CS store pick.  Best I can tell is it is 5-6 year old MGP.  It is a pretty solid bourbon for the price and similar to other similarly aged MGP NDP bottles like Backbone.
