It would be very interesting to hear which ones.

TNbourbon
it can be very difficult to get fine bourbon here in England Only wish it was so 'difficult' to get such a fine collection here in Tennessee. You have some keepers, including some I've never seen even right here next door to Bourbon World.

boone
Bobby, you have been to my house and seen my "little bunker". I have lots more (same bottlings) I keep in the shop, for "special friends" who visit. They are Heaven Hill products of course Sometimes, I will show my guest how my little company operates. They get, good bourbon to drink, a lesson in industrial embroidrery and a tee shirt ta boot My stash is not big in volume, but each item has special meaning. They are not for drinking...EVER...I have other bottlings of the same product on the bottom shelf. From left to right...I won the bottle of Elijah Craig 18 year you can barely see it. They had a raffle for Relay for Life team at Heaven Hill. The Millinium Globe, was a gift, from Cliff, during last year's bourbon festival. Thank you, Cliff My son, Patrick thanks you too He made me promise, that someday, that bottle will belong to him. Old Whiskey River, is one that I "actually" produced. I worked that line, the night it was bottled The "Single Barrel Gift" set you see in the far background---they sit on a wooden display with the name plates on it---It was given to me by the Vice President of Heaven Hill, right after I came in "second" in the "Booth Contest" during the bourbon festival Hey...every year (except for one) Wild Turkey, will take first place and Heaven Hill (my booth) comes in second FRONT AND CENTER---A extra "special" Christmas gift. from a "Dear" friend on this forum. A bottle of 1986 EWSB, the first year they started bottling it When I opened that package, my mouth dropped... Geezzzzzzzz I was so shocked and taken with this very special gift. He knew, exactly what it would do for me...and it worked The EC's were given to me from my supervisor, as a Christmas gift. I will give them away or Pat will take them on one of his many hunting trips, for all of his buddies to enjoy The Henry McKenna and the EW Master Distiller's Select are two jugs that I really like... The grandest of all...note the little glass dishes. They belonged to my Greatgrandmother and Greatgrandfather, Katie and Joseph L. Beam.,I hope most of ya know by now, that Joseph L. Beam, was one of the first original incorporators of Heaven Hill and served a the First Master Distiller. They had seven sons, all were Master Distillers Greatgrandma Katie's maiden name was McGill. Her brother, was Will McGill...Master Distiller for the VanWinkle family. You can read about him in Sally VanWinkle's book, But Always fine Bourbon Kentucky's finest distiller's on both sides So, there you have it It's not alot, but it will be treasured for years to come. Passed along, to my children, along with the stories behind them. Bettye Jo

gr8erdane
You sure got that right. In my travels last week however I saw a bottle that I should have bought, IW Harper Gold Medal 15yr and retraced my steps today. GONE So I go back to the store that had the dusty jug of White Bison with the presentation case and had them dust the five years of cobwebs off. Then decided to hit the 'ritzier' area of West St Louis County and stopped in a small local gourmet food chain called Straubs and picked up a couple of their private label (bottled by David Sherman) for 7.50 each. First taste was very weak, but the next has it starting to grow on me. It's no Van Winkle but for the price it's not bad.
TNbourbon
Your tale just makes me feel warmer and fuzzier that I did have the presence of mind to grab up the I.W. Harper 15yo Gold Medal bottling I found earlier this month. I was sorely tested just tonight by a row of Noah's Mill in a store, but grabbed an earlier EWSB vintage I didn't have for half the price instead. I'm trusting the several Noah's Mill bottles will last longer than my patience. Hope I'm right. Now if I could just run across a George Dickel Special Reserve -- not a bourbon, I know, but I hate holes in collections, and I need it to complete the Bourbon Heritage one. Paradox
I knew of a place around here that had one (The dickel special barrel reserve) some time ago, about a eyar, but it is on the other side of the island and I don't go there often. Send me a pm if you still want it if they have it... It is only about 15 minutes out of my way on the drive home from work.
dgonano
I stopped in a Montgomery County, Md liquor store about a year ago and they were fully stocked with Dickel Special Reserve. Don't know if any is still available but I picked up an extra bottle on that last visit. If your coming to the Bourbon Festival in September, I'll gladly fill your void. Paradox
and I need it to complete the Bourbon Heritage one The hardest part I had with completing all 5 bottles of the Heritage Collection was finding the originals for the VSOF and Old Charter. The newer VSOF's say VSOF on the neckband whereas the old ones had the heritage collection emblem on it.
TNbourbon
You made me go look -- I'm not sure I've had the bottle out of the box since I got it home. Apparently I got one of the original VSOFs, because it's got the collection logo on the neck.

kitzg
I see this post is staying active so I'll chime in. I don't take digital pictures (yet) and I don't scan so no pic from me. But I think I counted about 22 bourbons and more whiskey around here one day. Not all in one place - I got my shelving and some in the closet. I also have about 6 - 8 other whisk(e)ys. My minis don't count in that. I recall Chuck saying he just drinks what he's got so he doesn't keep partially full bottles sitting around for display. I guess I do 'cause since I got Ky Spirit once for about $25 and it is way higher I just let that pretty bottle sit there with whatever is left in it. I got plenty other stuff to drink.
